Used to be a combination of Battleclinic and Failheap but recent searches indicate that the only ships fitted on these site are very recent FOTM ships and if i fancy checking out some other ships they are well out of date.

So are there any other fitting sites up and running now with more up to date info?

Yes I know how to eft and HQ and PYFA etc but it is nice to look at other players idea when theory crafting.

Yeah I regularly look at KB of pilots I know/respect. Not all of them fly stuff i want to theory craft with though.

Zkillboard has a good search feature, use it to search for the ships you are looking for.

Build sites are populated by scrubs, m8. Plz for the love of god do not get your build from Battleclinic. Failheap isn't really a build site. More of a discussion site. So the build are a bit better. Checking loss mails is no guarantee that the fit is good. A lot of bad people lose really poorly fit ships. By the same token, a lot of good pilots lose really well fit ships. And vice-versa.

Get a copy of EFT and or pyfa. Play to the strengths of the ships. If its bonused for drones, use drone stuff. If its bonused to armor resists, fit an armor tank. If it has a tracking bonus to projectiles of a certain size, it will apply more of its potential damage to smaller targets than normal for that size category weapons, but it will not apply more damage to larger targets.

It will also keep you from making costly mistakes while fitting.

Confirming that fits in Battleclinic are mostly crap, there are some good ones, but you have to swim through a sea of horrible fits to find 1 good one. I know Osmium allows you to share fits but I haven't taken a look at enough fits to know if it's decent. Failheapchallenge has good discussion that can help you decide. In the end the best way is to do some research combined with some of your own theory crafting then go out there and test the ship, you can use SiSi if you don't want to waste too much isk, but experience is the best way.
