Ship relevant skill level performance bonus

Hi there, I am struggling to find how for example racial frigate skill level enhances performance of the ships requiring that skill. I know that skill Caldari Frigate skill should improve probe strength. But by how much per level? Does improve anything else on other ships? Does Caldari Cruiser improve damage or other factors of the cruisers?

Sorry If I ask completely ******** questions, but I did not find good source of information on that.

It reads in ship description so for example:

Astarte

Traits
Command Ships bonuses (per skill level):
10% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret falloff
7.5% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret rate of fire
3% bonus to Armored Warfare and Skirmish Warfare Links effectiveness

Gallente Battlecruiser bonuses (per skill level):
7.5% bonus to Armor Repairer amount
7.5% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret damage

Role bonus:
Can use 3 Warfare Link modules simultaneously

for each level of command ship skill you would get a max of 5x the amount of primary bonus amount of a ship assuming you would have command ship V
Since Astarte requires that you have trained Gal BC at V you would automatically get 5x amount of secondary bonuses.

Only ship skills listed in ship description counts toward the bonuses in description, the rest of the bonuses you have from skills come from elsewhere.
And the way skills in EVE work is that similar skills are stacking penalized with the highest % bonus being applied first and then the second lowest bonus until 4th skill bonus gives around zero 0 net effect.

This old thread should help a bit with the math involved http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=1571704

Ah, I should really work on my reading skills first... I thought that those perks and bonuses were absolute numbers that did not develop. Thanks very much for clearing this out for me.

Well...

Keep in mind that ship / module bonuses come in 2 variaties.

A. The flat out, simple, fixed bonus.

B. The skill dependent bonus, that increases with each level trained.

Some of the ships do have flat bonuses. Generally, the flat bonuses are called "Role Bonuses" (such as the MWD bonuse on Assault Frigates, such as the Enyo: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Enyo )

The Enyo (and all other Assault Frigates) receive bonuses from three sources. The first two are skill-based and will increase as your skills improve. On the Enyo, these bonuses come from the Gallente Frigate skill and the Assault Frigates skill. The third source is the Role Bonus, which is a static bonus and does not change, regardless of skill levels.

Certain ships, such as the Rookie ships and the Gnosis, receive only static Role Bonuses, while other ships, such as the Incursus, receive only Level-based bonuses.

While your question has been answered, here's some advice. The ship skills (like Caldari Frigate or Amarr Battleship or Heavy Assault Cruisers) are usually among the skills that give the biggest improvements to your ability to use that category of skills.

I'm not saying to take them to 5 ASAP, but you do want that as a medium term goal for any ship class you fly regularly.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

I would even go as far as to make them 4 ASAP for any ship you fly often.

Then level 5 will come in time, but with 4 you are about 90% efficient to someone with level 5, so in most situations you are on par with the other.
