Is there a way to have ONLY valid targets on your overview? No there is not.

Not agreeing with the OP's... "style" but he IS correct. You can't have only outlaws and WTs show without using the "show neutral", it has been like that since forever and it's sad in 2 ways;

1) it's still not solved
2) jokers without a clue say it works while it doesn't

You can solve the problem with one stupidly easy extra step: add your wartarget corp/alliance as a terrible contact. Set your overview accordingly. Just be sure to clean up your contacts so you don't see old wartargets and get yourself concorded.

Some people just lack the creativity to deal with stuff like this. The problem is they still possess enough literacy to post about it.

didn't you read?

Your way adds war targets, but it won't add -5 sec people or anyone that has joined FW, unless you have a list of all of them so you can set their standings.

Its not really that hard to set standings for FW.

If you Gallente and Minmatar, You Set Caldari State, and Amarr Empire -10.

If Your Caldari or Amarr you set Gallente Federation and Minmatar Ghetto -10.

Explicit instructions aside, personally I prefer knowing when a neutral Guardian is hanging around the grid when I engage...

Just sayin'...

I don't PvP much in empire these days, so this isn't a worry of mine; when I did I just kept brackets on, and stayed scrolled out far enough to see anyone in range anyway. Red is Red is Red. Either way I could shoot at it.

Hey, I'm on your side!

With all of the neutral remote repping going on I just prefer to see at a glance what ships are on grid and what their respective ranges are before things go too far. It's a bit easier when they are on the overview, and I've never had a problem with not being able to pick the correct target out on my overview.

The preference is probably a hold over from times when I would frequently move from Empire to Null and didn't bother to reset the overview each time I crossed the border..... frankly, I'm too forgetful. Smile

Well thats exactly why we have different options on the overview.

You set than according to your preference and I set them according to my preference.

And my preference is only have valid targets showing up and no one else.

When you have a -5 showing up in jita, hes not looking for a fight let alone being repped by your neutral guardian rofl

Cmon CCP, fix this :)

Make it so we can set priorities on what to show on the overview.

The ability of moving up and down our chosen filters would be easy to make this happen.

While you're at it fixing/changing the overview, I would REALLY appreciate if you could bring back the possibility to have an 'unsorted'/ultra-default mode for the overview again (sorry for spamming threads with this little fetish on mine).

I can't really see your problem...every ship is a valid target.

Including you, champ.

You say it can't be done. I say I've done it. I can't vouch for FW as I'm not a part of that neglected system, But I use the rest on a regular basis to avoid misclicks during a fight.

Besides all that, it's rather foolish to ignore neutrals in a game where neutral RR and neutral scouts and a major part of combat in highsec. I've dodged quite a few nasty losses by realizing I was being followed by a neutral.

A higher priority to me would be the ability to sort or filter the local list so that hostiles are more apparent. Without the ability to page down the list of players in system, it's easy to miss someone in a trade hub scrolling through a list of hundreds that is constantly refreshing.

Not arguing mate, just saying- I live in Null, so there are no 'Neutral Guardians', if your not blue.. your free game.

When I was into Empire PvP though, I always flew nano/speed tanks, and eventually in my manual orbit/rotate screen/go that way/rotate screen shenanigans, I'd eventually see the red logi; but thats what dishonor (ecm) drones are for anyway.

Follow through this overview setup guide (ignore that it's made for the E-Uni, obviously it works for others too)

http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Overview_Setup

If you don't care about going through all of it, do the basic setup and the PvP Preset and it should be exactly like you asked. I'd recommend doing the PvP with drones preset as well as the PvP Travel & travel with neutrals and the pod saver tabs as well. The order of the states is the important part there, you'll want all states set so that the shootables are always on top of the priority list. Doesn't matter if it's a personal friend of yours or whatever, if it's a wartarget or if it has -5 or lower security status, you'll want it showing flashy red instead of blue or whatever.
