UUA-F4 update: two small Stargates networks

Hello all,

Was browsing Singularity earlier tonight and found something in relation to the inaccessible UUA-F4 region. You would be well aware that the entire region's Stargates had been removed in SiSi, but as the title suggests two constellations have gained Stargate networks.
They're two seperate constellations.

Interesting, right?
What's more interesting is that four out of the six systems in constellation OVS-G have stations (singular) in them.
Edit: this is probably a coincidence, these outposts have all existed since 2008.

Ambiguously named:
(9K-VDI) I - T
(3C-26I) I - F
(Q-KCK3) I - Nice place to stay
(U8MM-3) I - Tanis' cave

I also can't help but wonder about the beautiful Jovian nebulae. This was viewed from UUA-F4, but (even more now it seems) it's almost like it's... Pointing to something.

But while I'm still on topic, several people think that Thera will be in UUA-F4.
It seems improbable to me, that it would be in K-Space. I don't want to go into full detail about it (for the sake of a saving time) but it's like this:
If Thera is on the Starmap, its location will be absolute. Capsuleers; the Empires will be able to construct Stargates to the system, and it will defeat the purpose of Thera being a wormhole. Plus, the current UUA-F4 architecture doesn't support Thera. You'd have to completely change the region.

Unfortunately, my computer access is limited. I snapped these images, but that's all I got. I haven't seen a post on this yet (if there is, *dammit* destroy this thread immediately), I hope someone finds this fairly interesting and/or relevant.

The plot gets thicker.

That's very interesting, I'm not able to go on sisi since my account is disabled on there so I can't check.

What happens if you open the map in thera? What does it show?

What happens if you press F11 to see the minimap? Usually you should be able to see the shape of the constellation even in wormholes, what shows up from thera?

By the way these stations look like test stations, remember that in the northern part of that inaccessible region there is (was?) a small constellation in which CCP testst soveregnity

I think I noted about 30 asteroid belts in OVS-G, and the stations also have a full set of services. You'd definitely be comfortable up there, Chribba :)

I can't check SiSi at the moment. Which is a bummer.

I realise that those stations (or at least the named ones) are tests, but it looked awfully convenient and I had to note it. Unfortunately I never observed UUA-F4 prior to this, so I don't know if the stations "9K-VDI I -T" and "3C-26I I -F" are newly placed or not.

Noted. Those stations are only outposts, so it seems they were remnants of when initial sovereignty was gained by CCP.

I'm fairly certain that those systems are simply remaining as CCP's testing systems.

An out of game perspective might suggest these are CCP's tests for play built stargates.

Yeah, those are the CCP test systems so it's likely they're keeping them that way.

Interesting that a second constellation has gained stargates though, as there's no need for that for just testing and my previous educated guess was that CCP was using all 101 non-CCP-sov systems in UUA-F4 for the shattered systems in the expansion. Looks now like several of the new shattered systems could actually be linked by working stargates or stargates that switch on and off for some reason, possibly an experiment in player-owned stargates. Alternatively, it could be that the entire region won't be shattered at once on TQ but that it'll happen in stages. As each stage hits, 25 more systems would be shattered, lose their stargates, and be opened via wormholes.

Or CCP could be screwing with us and some dev is rolling around on the floor laughing at these threads :D

I predict that the player built stargates that are coming are intended for use in the new systems.

Stargates. We built them. We are hungry. We are coming.

On sisi it seems that Thera is within the Nebula.

Opening info on Thera and picking "show on map" takes you to Yulai, the CONCORD HQ...but I assume it does this for any WH system.

No I mean, just press F11

I know for certain that you can see the constellation in one of the panels

Right click -> Show in Mapbrowser on Thera, shows it is in its own new region of w-space G-R00031, in its own constellation G-C00324.

New shattered WH system constellations are added to existing w-space regions. The constellations i've been to are: B-C00326 C-C00327 D-C00328 E-C00329 F-C00330. Out of the ~100 old WH systems only 2-3 were new shattered ones, so they're pretty rare. And boring so far.

Could be a planetary nebula, which would be consistent with the star going supernova. That could be happening right now (bright star) or my previous theory could be right that it might have happened during the Seyllin disaster, making Thera the as-yet undiscvovered tenth main sequence event (we've found 9 in k-space and w-space). It's still my best estimation that Thera is J7HZ-F.

Siegfried, have you checked if ALL types of the new WH systems are added to existing region? Specifically, are the frigate-only ones in existing w-space regions or new ones, and is it the same for the non-frigate-only systems? That could help prove whether any of the new shattered systems are in UUA-F4 where the star is, though region doesn't necessarily mean the systems are physically located in Anoikis. We'd still need to determine their co-ordinates somehow, and our only method of determining that (distance readout from POS) no longer works.

I found many frig only wormholes, like gates, not wormhole systems, like sun and planets. The systems those frig size holes were leading to were all normal.

There are 2500 old wormhole systems, they're adding 110 new in Rhea - its like 4%! Four out of 100 visited may be new shattered miner paradise systems.

Frig sized wormhole systems, there are 25 of them being added - its less 1% of all existing. Chances are you and me wont see them, unless there will be particular rules or mechanics of them spawning, say, from Thera only or smthn.

I guess "player-generated content" like ganking miners (minor bumping) turned out to be way more popular than all this wormhole stuff. Geez. There's so many left untouched, but not a system what hasn't had gank-i-cide for cheap yuks.

What are devs to do? Brace themselves for complaints, I guess.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
