With the recent isboxer news, do you think isotope prices will rise soon as the hordes of 20 and 30 man skiffs fleets depart from the belts?

hard to say with the jump changes reducing the number of jumps people will be making it could equal alot of the changes, i wont be speculating on this, too many variables.

Isboxer is a program that allows you to control many accounts (as many as ur pc can handle) with duplicated mouse moments, so you could control say 10 miners as 1 unit, many people use it for that reason to mass mine and with recent CCP changes it is being somewhat restricted.

see the char sales forum, sudden spike in sales of miners and other connected accounts.

Some isboxers are already working on manual workarounds that will allow them to click modules on different clients fast. Each click will be manual and not multiplied to other instances of the game. For ice mining, I'm sure they can stand to do like 30 target and click cycles and then go AFK for a while b4 having to repeat it, so the impact on at least ice miners will not be as big as you might think.

Guessing it's a bigger pain in the behind if you are mining asteroids in high sec as roids will start popping way faster than chunks of ice, requiring vastly more manual input. In null sec the roids are generally much bigger so this effect will be smaller there. So in conclusion: it sucks being a high sec isboxing roid miner, which anyone having done any roid mining in highsec will confirm Lol

I expect the effect will be smaller than people presently assume, as ISbotting is only partially banned, and there remain ways to effectively control 10 ship fleets.

I do, however, have certain other products in mind to purchase at present.

Like anything else in EVE, the dumb multi-boxxers will all bail, as can be seen in the Character Bazaar today, but the smart ones will simply adapt. Most aren't going anywhere.

Add to that that someone's RL income counts on keeping subscription numbers up for his product (ISBoxer), and you'll see modifications to the program by the deadline that will make using it indistinguishable from normal, non assisted multi-boxxing.

While I'm impressed with CCP's efforts to kick start the game again, it's a long road. Nothing much will change and I don't see anything worth speculating on. Well, a few little things. But I ain't sharing.

Yeah it's still possible to use ISBoxer to multibox mine, it's just more click intensive and you can't make an entire fleet initiate a warp out with one action when gankers show up in local.

If mining characters didn't cost so much to transfer I'd be looking into that market right now but at 1.75b to transfer one I don't see there being a profit in that. However, there is definitely item X which I expect to see exploitable changes in demand for. I'm considering investing ten billion or perhaps more in item X when the time is right.

Correction, I meant you can't make the whole fleet dock at once. You can fleet warp to a station yes, but you can get ganked there.

Actually you don't need isboxer broadcasting to mine on 20 skiffs.

I can leisurely mine on 10 without isboxer and could probably mine on 15 no prob especially in highsec with weak Orca boost.

That is while running a miasmos.. could probably mine on 30-40 easy without docking/undocking miasmos.

Oh and if you think CCP will ban multiboxing dream on.. It's impossible to play this game on a single account by design. Just look at how cynos are designed.. They could've easily made it to be a jump to bookmark/remotely activated mobile cyno generator module similar to mobile depot.. but no. Want to fly caps => pay double/triple for cynos.

Isboxer in my opinion is pretty lame and gets you in more trouble than it's worth. I tried it for a split second a few months ago and pretty much hated it. **** doesn't align, mining crystals can't be used, lasers run out of sync, cargo runs out of sync and you have to micromanage it anyway. You end up with about 2x less yield as a net result of not being able to run crystals effectively. Maybe i just didn't spend enough time with it but IMO it was counterproductive.
