Can't download the patch released Thursday, November 27th, 2014

So I played three days on a trial subscription and then upgraded with no issue but two days later the patch dropped I have been unable to log in. The launcher just sits there at 0% validating client, if I try to run the .exefile directly I get a bad build error and the repair tool stops after 4 seconds because:

error: unpack requires a string argument of length 4
Total Runtime: 0h00m04s

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the files I used the first time and nothing changed. I see an import patch option but there are no patch files in my CCP folder and as far as I can tell you can no longer download patches directly.

I submitted a support ticket with all this information and it has been sitting unanswered for five days so if anyone here has any suggestions about anything else I can try it would be appreciated.

Luckily I had seven or eight days training scheduled, so I got that going for me... which is nice.

Well, you can always download the full client:

EVE Online Windows Installer via BitTorrent

I try to have a torrent the latest client the day after release. CCP tends to update on Tuesdays (normal), and Thursdays (less common), but I recommend checking Chruker's site (see link above for details in the first message).

EDIT: verified that Phoebe 1.6 = 848647 is the current installer on their site, despite the server reporting 848384.

I had actually tried that file, it came up in my forum search and I get an extraction error. The only way I was able to install the first time was to download the two payloads on torrent as well as the installer (and now I can't find where I did that the first time... bookmark dummy, it is free!) And although it states in the thread it is the entire install, all I get when I download it is the 5MB installer.
