Hello everybody!

Together with a friend we're planning some pvp in FW (frigate based).

We're around 60m SP each mostly in combat and mostly Gallente.

We're wondering which kind of ship starting with and wether is better to use two ships of the same type or two different.

For example I was thinking of a couple of tristan to have some drone power...

Anybody has some thoughts about this and if possible even some raccomended fit?

thanks a lot

depends on what you guys wanna do, what kind of engagement and tactics you want to adopt, what kind of targets you go for, really. There's any combination of frigs and fits that work great togheter.

Basically, just come up with a plan, and fit your ships accordingly.

At any rate, 2 tristans are excellent, but even there you can go a number of different ways.

Personally, if i were to duo, i'd expect to fight larger numbers quite often, so i would plan on skirmishing. If you like tristans, the very popoular kite fit (nanofiber, 2 ddas, MSE II, long point, mwd, 2 polycarbs, 1 field extender) works great, but your drones are going to have troubles hitting really fast stuff. They're quite brutal against AB boats tho.

btw, PM me here or on wayne, or in game, we can have a chat on TS and such. happy to help you out man. Also, come to Black Rise xD

Worm and Sentinel make a great duo team for 2 vs many.

Theory crafting is all part of the fun so go do some trial and error.

It doesn't matter what the ship is, make sure it has a MWD + scram and web if possible and has a buttload of tank because it's more important to survive until your friend arrives on grid than it is to have ~20 DPS more in a fight that you're at risk of losing.

I would consider shield based ships for remote repping each other, you can with armor too but you cant fit oversized reps.

Two Enyos could put out over 700 dps. If you're on a budget, the Incursus works well also.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

How about duo for two low SP chars?

My bud and I are about 2 mil SP each.

We want to get into PVP though.

Recommendations?

That's a packed question....

Tag teaming isn't as easy at it my seem and a lot of variables come into play. 1st, some ships are more work to use and lend themselves to certain play styles. Most pilots in the small corp I run with like to brawl, others enjoy kiting a bit more. Personally -it's harder for me to fly with long kiters because I'm still working to develop that play style ( I like short kitting and brawling ).

I would say that trying out different combinations will get you into some ships that compliment all the variables that accompany flying with a wingman.

Once you get a good degree of synergy - then it can be a lot of fun, as is having the right ship in at the right times, and having a good idea of what your bro's skills allow him to do. Also, have you done a lot of pvp or is this a new interest?

To be honest - just start grabbing some ships and go find some fights with your bud and all your questions will be answered.

I've always wanted to try kite Tristan and Maulus. Could triple damp with maulus and kill with both ships drones while Tristan holds warp dis point.
