If I think about it, I can't afford it per se, because I am flying loaned faction ships, and I haven't been able to make any ISK in months due to work, and lately, due to my GPU being fried.

I'll just do what all good Goonies do and try my luck on SA...

Tracking my new GPU ATM, it is somewhere near Oslo, should arrive in about 2 days...

Then it's MONEY MAKING TIME YYYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I've kind of been an ass to some Goonies on this forum lately, trolled them and stuff, so I doubt I have any real chance of ever joining them, unfortunately...

Or, I might join them, only to be blue killed while in a complex or something, and having my stuff stolen, and then get kicked, that **** has happened to me before...

That's why I am not too keen on returning to 0.0 any time soon.

I moved to 0.0 2 months after starting Eve, back in 2006, and some ******* I argued with framed me for spying and used that excuse to blue kill me and get me kicked out of the corporation I was in.

After that I've been in many alliances, including FREGE and others... but recently (last year), had to quit Eve for a bit, due to RL issues (moved to another country), work and other stuff.

Joining another 0.0 alliance right now is a bad idea, because i just might end up getting screwed over, which i don't think i could take...

So I just carebear my subscription away instead, while feeling pathetic.

Only reason I am in this corporation and alliance right now is because my 12 year old gaming clan members are in it.

We don't really do anything fun like, ever in Eve, anymore...

Haven't bashed a POS, broken a gate camp, camped a gate, hunted for botters or had a fleet fight in years.
I miss the fun I used to have in Eve. :(

There was these, uh, gladiators or samurai or something. And they liked to fight. They said they liked to fight at least. All day long they was trying out weapons, shields, pieces of armor, that kind of stuff. And saving up to buy ultra weapons and armor. Well, one day they must have got tired of fighting. Or of fighting each other. Or maybe some of them never really had been fighters. They just liked the weapons and the armor. Anyway, somebody said, "Let's go whooping and hollering and kill some sheep! Won't that be fun! Won't that be something!" So that's what they did. Each one of them took off looking for sheep. And when they found one, they killed it. "Ha ha ha!" they laughed. Oh yeah, they sure did ha ha ha for a while. After that... well, I don't know what they did for fun. Do you?

I certainly don't advocate free reign in high-sec for gankers but avoiding them altogether would take away one of EVE"s foundation ideas: Nowhere is truly safe.

Not that EVE should feel like you are walking point, mind you, (EVE should really never feel like you are walking point as no one actually dies in EVE. This is just for the sake of conversation), but you should feel like you need to be on your toes and alert.

I do think 1.0 npcs should podkill players...just another line on their investment sheet. I think a slightly more gradual security decline down to 0.0 makes sense. Velicitia and someone else had some ideas in other threads. It would be nice to have somewhat random system patrols where there are npcs anyway. Give -# folks something else to do whilst traveling in high-sec.
