When is invention success/fail calculated?

Is invention chance calculated when the job is installed or when the job is delivered?

For example if training of one of my science skills is completed while a job is in progress, is invention chance calculated on the new skill level or the old?

Doesn't make that much of a difference... but would be fun to know...

Its calculated when you hit accept quote.

I was under the impression that it was when you delivered the finished job. I honestly have no idea where I heard this but it's something I've assumed for most of my time in Eve.

Confirming it is when the quote is accepted. A no-skill alt can deliver and the results are the same.

If the outcome would be rolled on delivery, I'd have dozens of alts with just basic skills queueing up hundreds of jobs and I would only deliver with a maxed-out char, maximizing my invention chance

from my experience, outcome is rolled at the moment of delivery. i have seen situations where under database lag (tested on sisi ) the bpc is delivered before the delivery is complete and you are able to cancel the delivery. The BPC stays, as well as the invention job. every time you delivered the job, you would get a different possible outcome. Now when and by who the skill bonuses are calculated i was unable to test. i was unable and unwilling to try this on TQ.
