Just recently resubbed and ive been getting into level 4 missions, however im having difficulty in choosing a suitable missioning ship that would allow me to finish missions without falling asleep, while trying to kill a BS (im pretty sure a Guristas Conquistador can tank meCry). At the moment im using an apoc i found lying around.

If its not too much trouble can someone take a look at my current skills and suggest a proper ship?

these skills are mostly up to date.

also does it matter what faction i mission for? im currently running missions for a caldari agent, and he sends me to fight anoying guristas P

Thanks in advance for any assistance Smile

Out of boredom I checked your skill sheet;

Gallente BS V and Large Railgun spec I (get it to IV asap) + decent drone skills implies any of the gallente battleships
HAC IV makes Ishtar a possibility, but you don't have T2 sentries, so meh...

I would say your problem is using an amarr ship against Gursitas. Guristas have a high EM resistance so the lasers on your apoc are really gimped. You have good caldari/missile skills and good gallente/rails/drones I would use a ship from one of those factions. Or move to amarr space where you only fight blood raiders and sansha.

Kronos is good,
Domi (or navy domi)

You having t2 ogres, is nice for the domi, just be aware it is slow,. slow slow.

a nice fit kronos can really run through things, maybe not as fast as a vargur, but i think its still faster then a paladin or golem, compared to faction it doesn't use as much ammo, and is easier to tank,

people may suggest training for a mach or whatever, but your pretty close to a Kronos already so thats the direction id go in now. and

use 425's , t2 rof rig and a medium cost dead-space rep and you shouldn't have any issue with any mission. (as long as you run them right)

...............................................................................

Sometimes, you all make me very disappointed.

Yep, looking at your skills it seems you are best set for a Domi. So train for tech II sentry drones. Also train drone rigging so you can fit one or two sentry damage augmentors.

Consider the traditional Caldari mission ships, especially the Raven (and Navy Issue) and the Tengu. The Tengu is usually considered the more "fun" of the two, and with it's Kinetic DPS bonus is very effective against Guristas. You've got decent shield and missle skills so the train up wouldn't be too bad. Really depends on whether you'd prefer playing with sentries or missiles. Both have their pros and cons. I use both, depending on the mission and how I feel that day.

If you want a ship that is interesting to fly in missions, I find the Nightmare is alot more entertaining to fly than many other mission boats due to a few things:-

1) Lots of DPS so stuff dies quickly
2) Lasers are cool
3) The ship looks badass
4) Nightmare is a awesome name
5) If you use X-Large booster, like most good setups your tank is nowhere near stable (my nightmare has less than 2 mins cap with everything running) this means you are having to choose when to boost and use it sparingly which can make the heavier tank missions a bit hairy, which makes them more fun.

I hear the Macherial is similar to the nightmares style, Lots of DPS, just enough tank to allow it to keep its DPS going for long enough to kill everything

So all in all, if you want a fun 'pay attention' mission ship, Nightmare or Macherial, take your pick.

Sentry+rail dominix. Sentries are the most useful drone so you'll want them anyway, and other than that you're mostly skilled for this (got the proper shield skills, etc.). One of the highest DPS gallente ship options.

nightmare for blitxing
mach for blitzing
rattler for afk lvl4's
any marauder..

in any case you are gonna need to work on shield tanking if you go shield tanker.
