Character Bazaar!? - Wait what?

So let me get this straight, there's the character bazaar, meaning you can sell or buy characters, like myself, for isk to other players?

And CCP supports that, if it's not a scam, etc. I didn't know where to place this, so I placed it in GD.

Can anyone shed some light, rules, and all that's applicable to this topic?

Have you looked at the forum? There's at least one sticky there detailing the rules and how things should work. I'm pretty sure it answers all of your questions.

What is the issue? If you just want to know how it works, read the sticky threads in that forum section, so I'm not going in to that. The reason it exists in the first place is quite simple. It is an anti-RMT service. The reality is, that people will trade characters even if it gets you a ban. It also causes a lot of other problematic or even criminal behavior, that CCP has to deal with. By allowing legit character trading, CCP can greatly mitigate the negatives of RMT, provides a safe wanted service, that doesn't involve account trading and it allows CCP to make money from it instead of people doing RMT. It's basically done for the same reasons PLEX is a thing in the game, except it is designed to counter the effects of ISK sellers.

There wasn't an issue to begin with, so, yeah. And I know the reasoning behind those actions CCP made, they're quite the progressive and ingenius company.

Mods may lock and delete this topic, for I dont think this will go anywhere.

And i've found the stickies on the forum itself quite useful.

Haha, ofcourse, but I'd most probably be on the buyers side, rather than the selling side.

I am quite a busy person, and sometimes i'd just like to kick back and enjoy whatever it is I wanna do on eve :)

By the time I have the ISK to even buy a character, my own, will mostly suffice, so I dont even think it's going to happen.

And besides, by the that time, I might actually skilled myself into a less of a noob, hopefull Shocked

Some of the greatest kills in eve came from people who decided to spend 1,000 in plex to buy a carrier character, then use the rest to buy the carrier, then Try to warp it through a highsec gate.

I call that money well spent.

Even if some of us ARE jerks, forum staff/devs have taken the time to create listings with rules, explanations, and guides, and instead of respecting their efforts, and reading the very clear, very obvious posts right at the top of the page, you've come back to GD to ask people instead.

I mean..... we have a user who watchdogs the entire GD forum for out-of-place threads, and shames people for posting in the wrong forum.
