ive searched as best i can through forums and cannot find an answer, so here goes.

I was playing game and using in-game browser when I got a "Browser has crashed" notice. Client shut down, when i tried to relaunch it flashes for a second and stops. I tried repair, it gets to 100% downloaded and then fails. Do I need to unistall/reinstall client? Any help is appreciated.

Edit: The repair error is as follows:

My log was much shorter, but had the same message at the end.

Found an ugly solution, but it works.

Go to "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\CCP\\EVE"
Right-click "bin" -> tab "Security" -> Advanced -> Tab "Permissions" (selected by default) -> Change Permissions -> "Add..." -> "Advanced..." -> "Search now".

There should be a user "everybody". Select him and click "OK" (windows will close). Select "OK again (this windows will close, too).
Now a popup should open, with two columns. One "allow" and one "deny". Mark every "allow". Press "OK".

Close all the remaining windows by "OK".

My Windows is german, so the options might be translated different, than I think.
If you have some experience with Windows: Just allow "everbody" everything to "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin".

Restart the repair tool. :D
Done

@CCP: Which permissions are requred to solve this, without these ugly security settings?

I ended up removing the client and redownloading, still doing that now......i wonder why you would all of a sudden need to add permissions.
