Okay I hate missiles, I don't care for drones, or have the SP for either and I'd like to kite.


I'm teched almost solely in to Minmatar, unfortunately I'm finding artillery almost Un-fittable to pretty much everything other than ammar ships and the 3 matari ships that don't give real bonus to them, and ACs pretty much get gunned down by everything but small and med blasters out side of scram range. In scram range they work, but only if you have a massive tank, which is the game play I'm trying to avoid.

what gun boats should I start training?

Oman seems promising
training for the vagalos right now
harpy / corms are awesome, but limited in DPS by nature of being a frigate
rail rax / brutix seem viable
tornado is still good I think, however I've lost well over 20 of those in the last few months... mostly because I forgo most my tank for a TCs, and painters but have got some surprising kills out of them. and really I don't think an extra 4k EHP would do any good.

so what works against things like brick tanked missile boats, and Ishtars.

if by kiting you mean actually keeping the enemy away, then your best bet is probably battlecruiser with a MJD. i heard railgus are also a thing now, if your wallet can take it. i slapped together an mjd cane:

it probably won't work but if it does and you have a tackler it could be funny.

edit: you can do a similar fit with a ferox, except you don't need tracking comps, so you can choose between a tank and a tackle/prop/whatever.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Cynabal is probably going to be your best bet. that or anything Minmatar, Cane, Stabber, Wolf, or Firetail.


That or you're feeling feisty MAAAYBE a 250mm Tengu?
