Eureka!

still uninformed.... read the blog again please.

Elementary Economics, my dear Watson. The multibroadcasting ban will significantly reduce the amount of mining. The rest follows trivially.

Market Economics becomes irrelevant once the value of a commodity is speculative and is detached from its actual use as a commodity.

Nope...supply and demand still work. CCP announces changes restricting multiboxing...plex plummets....as expected. Markets work.

Well, that and never underestimate how lazy most people are.
Yes, you can still use ISBoxer to organize your windows, but many folks (especially those running the really large fleets) simply won't make that effort for long.

1. are you telling me that this automating program can not be automated to activate the mining lazorz in an intervals of 5-10 (or any random) secs., which in effect make the detection of multibroadcasting difficult?

if not, i demand a cut in the profit the owner of the program will make once he incorporates this feature.

2. your early assumptions only apply to the risk averse, people that enjoys pvp will still explode internet spaceships however expensive they might be.

3. if the demand of ****, sorry trits will rise, therefore makes mining a viable source of income then one of my alts will mine.

No and tbh it's silly it's even suggested, It will be back to 950mil probably within 1 or 2 weeks. Plex has never dropped in price consistently and it's puzzling why all the plex buyers moaning and complaining about the price when it's them that's inflating the price in the first place.

I didn't sell my stash. Too much hassle for ~20 additional billions I could get + I believe ISK will continue to drop in value anyway. At least until really interesting expansion will increase amount of players.

Wow!

That's a big deal. Good link. I bet freighter ganking and bot mining become more rare.

Freighter ganking is unlikely to become more rare, bot mining dunno, hopefuly.

Considering botting anything was bannable before, I don't see how this would affect botting at all. Unless CCP can now track more of the mechanisms of the bots, in addition to tracking client broadcasting done by players using programs like Isboxer.

Seems to me isboxxing miners/incursioners/whatever would be hammering it for the next month to make as much isk as possible, while it's still legal.

Only after that would we see the proper effect on plex prices - yesterday's movements were probably entirely speculative.

LOL, It's simple basic economics, Supply and Demand. The speculation, conspiracies and bulk investors due have an influence on the basic principles of supply and demand.

As supplies rise and demand falls prices will lower. If demand rises and supply diminishes prices will rise.

Hilariously, I have lost almost as much speculating on plex as I have gained speculating on ice and other mining products.

1. Is bannable and risky. Some may do it...but still the level of mining will surely fall.

2. And therefore what? Ship/Mod prices will still rise, and Plex will still fall.

3. Good for you, human mining is unlikely to ever be as extensive as bot mining. It's just too boring to manually mine on so many individual accounts.

At the moment its all speculators; some will panic at the first sign of trouble, which will start the current slide, but sooner or later the "confident in the inevitability of PLEX" guys will buy in trying to get them at a good price before the speculation dip corrects, this in itself will correct the dip, and then we will see-saw back up until the change hits, and then its flip a coin time to see what really happens.

Quite frankly, I know I'm too stupid to play the markets (I was lucky I got out only 2 bil down from my attempt to dapple in Technitium around the time of the nerf).

its sad that they do this against players who actively play, while you can still see bots mining day in and day out.
( its allmost like them saying, ''og bot instead'' Lol)

Sweet, another middle manager tactic in EvE is getting punched in the ****. Buhbye service managers, make some space for new people who are actually going to play EvE.

In answer to this point ( I removed the rest of your post)....it doesn't matter if you do as suggested...at one of fan fests security presentations ( I cant remember which year) a dev. talked about CCP's tools, and they can spot when IS boxer is active on your computer. That they have chosen to take no action until January is their choice. I seem to recall that he said the banning can also be automated...but not 100% sure on that.

It will be interesting to see the drop in player numbers in January. Ice prices ( it seems most ice is mined by boxed fleets) will be all over the place for years until sov. mechanic changes are finished although cap ship fuel usage has dropped massively.

We live in interesting times
