With superiors pulling paranoid stunts like this for a minor mistake who in their right mind would risk flying supers under the banner of the CFC?

Puzzled as to why some sheep in the CFC getting killed should bother anyone let alone me. Maybe he can go scratch out Mittani's name on the Egomomument as this seems to be the norm for them.

Its more that a 4+ year Eve veteran feels the needs to leave the game because somebody has taken what is basically game way too far and doxxed him.

Mentioning taking the game way too far/seriously in a goon thread.....It's EVE you don't trust anyone, this could happen on any day in any fleet to anyone but it doesn't happen that often because most people have a thread of decency about them.

Why does it sound like your trying to legitimise doxxing?

I'm not but are you really surprised by this at all? On the scale of what certain people in this alliance have got up to in the past it's small potatoes. Also their are more +4 years vets leaving this game because of boredom than them losing Space Taxis.

yeah.. I know right..

To all you little busy bees, I know this will be difficult to hear but be brave, Eve is just a game

Honestly it is,

If looking at someone's IP address is "doxxing" (it isn't) then every major group in Eve, including your own, is also guilty. Also pretty much every website you visit, and CCP's own servers, too.

I mean I get it, the Reddit echo-chamber has collectively realised that when someone can't or won't reveal how they know something, that they can just run around crowing "lies!" and that doxxing is a good buzzword to accuse someone of at the moment, but you're pulled this one before and it's frankly a little boring.

Also death2allsupers.

I'm not one to hop on the dumbass reddit bandwagon(especially given their staunch dedication to the Grr Goons narrative), but this one just looks wrong to me.

Read the article, and I'm personally not buying it, but I also don't care. The way I see it, if it's true, then it doesn't matter. If it's not true, and it was just a mistake, then all CFC supercap pilots are now on notice: don't screw up, not one little mistake. Which is sad. This really is a second job for you guys, isn't it, answering to 'the man'.

Nothing against Goonswarm, but some of these nulsec FCs need to pull the sticks outta their backsides.

Are you sure that the primary was broadcast? Want to stutter it one more time maybe?

Why are you in an alliance that doxxes, then? (NC IT services do pretty much everything ours do)

Why are you playing a game that doxxes you, then? (CCP use your IP address against you when applicable - banning people, tracing RMT, blocking use on anonymizing proxies, etc).

If we go with "knowing someone's IP is doxxing" then we have an absurdity, not a discussion.

This is what the people trying to make this look like a mistake want you to think. It's called propaganda. They know we can't reveal information from our IT services that confirm certain details, so they're free to swing at this one for all it's worth.

Use your noggin and you'll see past the façade.

Why do our enemy want to whip up as much noise as possible about this, to the extent it covers most of r/eve and the comments sections of all eve news sites?

Why would we execute the titan if there was any doubt?

Eve players like to think they're smarter than they are, which is why they rarely realise they're actors in someone else's agenda.

lmao Khanh'rhh

This the worst defence of doxxing I have ever seen.

Next thing you will be saying that racism is also fine and dandy

Oh yeah, completely forget that goons indiscriminately use racist language and terminology all the time.

I guess it is no surprise that you think doxxing is okay.

Ordinarily I'd move this to CAOD, but as the poster is in an npc corp, I'll just close it instead.
