Remote skill queue

There may be occasions where people are away from their own computers for an extended period of time. The requirement of needing to be in game to set skill queue will make this difficult as downloading the entire game client won't be possible. While this may have some security issues the system for generating an API seems to be just as secure as the actual login so it could be attatched to that.

On a related note pausing a skill que and then needing to log out and back on to start a new characters skills is highly inconvienient and potentially nerve wracking if your connection is not entirely stable. It should be possible to have them both lined up on the same queue or as sometihng in the login be made to directly switch beween which character is training. Like my main point this would also be available from the API site

no, unless "a long time" is more than 2-3 weeks, throw on a L5 skill and let it cook.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Um, pulling down the API gives someone read-only access to some of your information. Changing skills is write access. There is no comparison between the security of the two systems.

I do agree with the fact that the log out/log in dance to start a new skill when a char is training on the account is annoying, but I don't think that allowing skill access from outside the game is required (especially because the next thing people would want contract access ... and then market access ... and then ... you get the picture).

I agree with the previous poster, if you're going to be gone for a couple weeks, toss on a lvl 5 skill. If you're not going to be logging into the account for months/years, then you should either have a trusted family member or close friend log in for you or suspend your account for a while.
