I've had a habit of looking 360 degree in search of cynos and bad **** trying to kill me due to many years of using a default overview. I'm not alone. So yeah this bright thing stands out,not quite as much as the one prior to wormholes but still it does stand out. I like Uriel's thinking,another region is being opened. Can we expect the usual or maybe a sleeper region?

I kind of just assumed that it was the Eve gate and they had put it back in. I was however racking my brains last night (local time) thinking that wasn't their before...was it...

Curious to see what this is if it isn't the Eve gate...

Free tip: If you want to see the star, warp to 100 km from a belt or anywhere where there couldn't be, houm, a station... a Moon... or a PLANET blocking it. Once there's empty space 360º around, rotate the camera horizontally an eventually you'll see it.

I'm a slimy Roleplayer and I approve this thread! So icky!

Plus, I can't really believe I missed that whole new star thing. CCP sure knows how to rile people up. With so many dots in the sky representing systems we can warp to, one can't imagine how a single new star makes much of a difference.

The star is visible from any system in New Eden, it seems- and from all looks, it seems to be in W477-P, in the UUA-F4 region (the third cut-off region, not belonging to the Jovians).

This shot was taken last night from LS-JEP, which is 'due south' of Jove space:

as you can see, the 'star' lines up directly with the Jove nebula. This leads me to believe that it is in Jove space and not UUA-F4, which is 'CCP' space.
