Back after two and a half years, are my maps still good?

I retired from EvE two and a half years ago when I went back to college, after having played about 3 years. I killed a lot of people, found a really.. um.. unconventional wormhole, wrote a guide that used to be somewhat popular.

I was pretty impressed with Crucible (at least from the outside looking in). Having a -10 security status makes coming back slightly more complicated than just plugging in my CC number again and logging on, so it took a bit while I found a corp to help me knock the rust off and provide someplace in lowsec to base out of.

Anyway, that's taken care of so I'm getting everything set up again now. I've reinstalled EFT and Evemon, are there any other tools that have come along I should be aware of?

Also, I have the second (Empyrean Age) edition Eve Strategic Maps, are these still current? I don't even remember where to go to check :(.

Thanks.

K-space hasn't changed since Empyrean Age so far as I can remember.

I'm not sure if it was around when you were playing or not (I only started playing about 2.5y ago), but Dotlan is the de-facto map reference ATM. I don't think any new k-space systems have been added since you were playing though.

k-space might not have changed much in terms of routing/stargates, but static plexes changed massively and im sure there were some minor things that have been forgotten over that time anyway, update everything.

in terms of tools used. I dont use many but I like the following...

evemon - still the standard in character nannying... you might want to look into the newly revised custom api's as its all changed a bit from the simple api we used to use.

aura - i dont know about iphone but this is an android equivalent of evemon that is just great

evemaps.dotlan.net/ I know you like maps so check this out, its amazing, also works ingame with ingame extra functionality.

wormhole thingie ... i dont know how up to date it is but it works for me
