The british still have their empire, they just renamed it the Commonwealth and gave everyone home rule.

Don't take me too seriously though, I like to tease a bit on the forums, but that's only because I love you...

In 2000's UK we pay for that kind of service.

Most Americans forget that Europe exists. There's England, France, and a bunch of other countries. We were recently reminded that Scotland exists, but we'll forget again.

I wish I was exaggerating, but I'm not.

I assume people view us in the standard way you would view people this ignorant.

Big problem with the USA is that you don't get any useful info from the outside world. You have undoubtedly the shittiest news networks on the planet outside of North Korea.

They are a business like any other - providing the news that Americans will find interesting. This does not include the rest of the world besides the bits that scare us, like ISIS, North Korea, Iran, and France.

France scares you?

I got lost in thought... it was unfamiliar territory.

As a Latinamerican I find this thread amusing and super funny.

Personally I have always seen gringos and europeans as a bit aloof and xenophobic, hard to get to know and quite shocked with local values of personal space and body contact norms, but a breeze to talk to in worldly topics, specially on those that focus on their countries, like history, politics and social issues, but then again my experience might be different from others, since some of the people I know locally actually don´t like foreigners very much, but again Panamanians have some history with gringos Big smile and Venezuela has been been going to the hard-left for quite a while now.

Oh, I'm certain that Aleix Saló could also make some funny things with the prejudices between Spaniards and Latinamericans.

I have removed some rule breaking posts and those quoting them. As always I let some edge cases stay.
Please people, keep it on topic and above all civil!

The Rules:
2. Be respectful toward others at all times.

The purpose of the EVE Online forums is to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, and a venue for the discussion of EVE Online. Occasionally there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Forum users are expected to be courteous when disagreeing with others.

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counter productive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

7. Discussion of real life religion and politics is prohibited.

Discussion of real life religion and politics is strictly prohibited on the EVE Online forums. Discussions of this nature often creates animosity between forum users due to real life political or military conflicts. CCP promotes the growth of a gaming community where equality is at the forefront. Nationalist, religious or political afiliations are not part of EVE Online, and should not be part of discussion on the EVE Online forums.

In other words talking about the stereotypic views we have about each other is perfectly fine, having real life political debates is not.

And on topic, as a European myself I do of course view all inhabitants of the USA as overly fat xenophobic aggressive gun wielding maniacs!...Blink

That guy is brilliant. And not far from wrong. Dang, no rifle holster on my electric scooter? I bet they have one on Amazon. Got to go to Walmart now, I'll have to search that out later.
