All "moveme" channels are down and no CCP in sight.

Oh hi.

Yeah, we in EVE Quality Assurance were indeed not in the office yesterday. We were together on an offsite and discussed several QA-related matters, for example how we could improve the test server support. Then we enjoyed the evening (and night) with drinking, board games and spent a lot of time in hot tubs. Cool

Sorry for the inconvenience of not being available in moveme channels and similar, but there should be good results out of it. Improvements to moveme were being discussed, but it is too early to promise anything.

One has to wonder why those scripts rely on logged in characters in the first place and why they can't just be built into the test server to begin with.

If it's built in - it's coded in. If it's coded in - it's different code than what should go to real-time deployment.
Another thing is, by forcing a toon to use a script, CCP's HR can probably track the usage of all of the dev-comands in-game on TQ, meaning that since character interaction in involved, it can't simply be found and exploited on TQ. (Without repercussions)

I'd still love to see "MoveMe" accidentally working on TQ, and Syndicate suddenly get an influx of ALL THE FLEETS

This was indeed one of the discussed things - as it is probably the most important limitation. There are several options on how we can improve this, now we need to check which way to go.

This is what we do normally - but we need to log in the account and start the script.
