Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Old sleeper ships compared to the new ones seem to have their heads missing. Maybe thats why they were 'Sleepers', and now they're gonna be 'awakened' or 'disturbed' drones?

Sleepers have awakened and they want their bodies and implants back. Sansha has been stealing people from planets for them to inhabit the bodies. All dust clones must be destroyed to give implants back.

Thats the most important observation in this thread. I always thought those cables/tentacles were some sort of "arms" with clamps like for working underwater. I found that a bit silly. What do warships need arms for and to me always looked like they were helplessly flailing in space.

Now if you replace "head" with "cockpit" or "crew cabin" you are on to something. Either the npc sleepers will get better with the head or it might be possible for players to fly the sleeper ships.

Oh my god.
The picture of the cloaked thingy is actually one of those stereogram pictures.
Just keep staring at it and focus your vision to the back of the screen and you'll see *it*.

I've been looking at the image of what I can only presume is a cloaked station, trying to figure out what it actually looks like.

Unfortunately I've not got much to contribute, but I did do some work with photoshop.

(Original for Comparison)

The cloaking effect seems to be green so I sharpened the picture up then replaced some of the green hues with white to highlight them. There's definitely a greater return of green from where the structure is but unfortunately there was a lot of background noise from green points in the nebula.

I couldn't highlight anything at the top or bottom of the structure without catching a load of noise all over the image. However, if you look carefully you can see some pretty clear edges there, which I highlighted on the image. I'm not so sure about the ones at the bottom, maybe decide for yourself looking at the original.

One last thing though, i found a density of green to the left and right of the main structure (highlighted in the image) as well which doesn't seem to occur anywhere else in the background. So I think we are looking at a vertical structure with protrusions to the left and right. The one on the right shows no green between it and the main structure so I wonder if it is either entirely free of the main structure or attached only on a narrow boom.

Maybe those clues will help someone with more familiarity with the lore identify it, because I'm pretty stumped. I'd hoped for better results.

So, basically, I found the location in space (amarr as you can see from the background)
found the ship next to it through probing

Flew right next to it and decloaked the cloaked thingy

WARNING: this changes everything we knew about EVE lore

Changed like conspiracy everywhere and at last I truly see macros
So you know the fun type
As I said, near it, not jump in and and start doing the backstroke on the TUMBLRina tears on there (yay for more invasions, they make for so much hilarity)

But soon, soon we must declare war on the Other to preserve our fair capsuleer lives!
It will be a sad time as we must sacrifice our lesser pawns to its forces, but a necessary one

With the difference that we don't go to them, they'll be coming for us! Apparently there will be a new kind of Sleeper NPC that will roam empire space. While it won't be the scale of the Sansha incursions, it does sound alot scarier to me...

Nice!
But, if that happened most hi-sec capsuleers would have a brown spot in their pods! Lol

Nice find! I included this in the updated news article I made about the deeper levels of lore involved with the current Wormhole/Sleeper arc in Eve: Strange Sleeper ships & speculations about conspiracies (Updated)

In order to make it passable in character I had to describe your findings, the Dust Merc analysis of the image, Uriels excellent analysis & Rhavas observation of the Sisters as conspiracy theories tho.

Hmm.. well what if, by some chance, that "head" is a control cortex module? In other words, where a pilot would be "plugged in"- It could be anything, but if the Sleepers are returning to New Eden, I wouldn't be surprised if they're being piloted directly.

Just an observation, but entities like sleeper ships and rogue drones that have manipulator appendages could only use them for two things.

1: Building something.
2: Taking something apart, but not destroying it.

Either of which could be quite disturbing.

I've had Jovian body parts for years, and now find out that apparently I've missed my opportunity to do something with them. Cry

Actually I did try messing around with the cloaky thing. Whatever it is, it sure is pointy at the bottom.
