Hello,

For a short story I wish try FW, I'm a "new" player 6m sp. I want to try to do FW mission but I'm not sure witch in witch faction do it. I will Fly solo because I have a low game time ( and I live in Asian country) and for make it worse I really can't use TeamSpeak ( I mean use the mic )

So I wish to know if the Gallente FW mission are really not doable in Bomber or that ( or will ) change. I really don't want go fight in the caldari or minmatar faction ( because ...) So if it's possible in the Amarr faction that could be good.

Thank you for your time and sorry for my English ( I tried my best)

I don't do missions, but from what I hear unfortunately Gallente ones are the hardest at the moment...

Others will give you better advice than me, but I think that if missioning is your main goal Gallente is not your best option...

The curious thing about that vid is it's not Gallente FW, obviously.

You cannot do lvl4's in a bomber in galmil. Too many missiles that are faster than you and uber npc jamms. A bomber can assist another pilot that is doing slightly more or comparable dps, enough to sustain jamm aggro. Lvl3's have ewar as well on nearly every subsequent spawn. You MIGHT be able to two volley some objectives, but you're better off spinning buttons.

If you have limited game time and figure you will be flying solo, I would suggest staying out of FW missioning. Regular high sec missioning is made for that. From my very limited understanding of FW missions (two years in FW and no mission completed P) they are not made for the pve challenge. They are made for getting in, getting what you need for the lp reward from the agent fast, and then getting the **** out fast. Really, level 4s in high sec are more fun that that.

The excitement in FW comes from doing pvp. Whether that's through sitting in plexes or entering plexes looking for a fight. Or through joining open fleets to roam for pvp.

As a new player I think you will find developing your skills to run high-sec level 4s in a Battleship more fun than fitting a bomber and blitzing some item out of a low sec mission site and running back to the agent. Often your running will be interrupted by interloper pirates and opposing militia.

Gallente FW missions are not bomber-able. Not sure that Amarr are for that matter as Minmatar NPC webbing might become a real ***** to a bomber. If you are after LP in either faction, just offensive and defensive plex tbh.

My best suggestion, if you really want to try FW, would be to bite the bullet, buy a headset, and try some pvp. Not sure what language you speak, but if it's Korean, Japanese, or even Mandarin or Cantonese you can probably find some FW corp that speaks those. If it's something less represented in the Eve game world then yeah you may be sol. Alternately, dive in on general English comms and maybe view it as language learning (since you appear to have typed some English not wholly from google translate?).

I once flew in a nullsec alliance with a heavy German presence. I didn't know any German. But, it was sorta fun flying with the German guys as I learned a few words like when to jump, hold, ect. and they helped me with some English as well. I could simply focus on the FC's voice and probably saved myself from listening to a bunch of back seat FC or intel **** I did not need to hear, as well as not hearing what may have been ******** fleet banter.P

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

Thanks for this answer and for your time. Just some little thing I didn't say and explain why I was want GO into FW. I'm not a new player, I played EvE during almost # ear but I sold my character ( because I was bored of it). The thing about the normal mission is I did them so much before and it was one of the reason I take a break.

For the mic sadly it just impossible because when I can play I'm not alone and it will be too noisy. For the language i'm French and I can speak English with no real trouble ( except my horrible French accent) but too many life constraint make impossible for me to be accept by a corp ( I already try).

The thing about FW is I saw in it a good way to make isk (farm lp) and have in the future a easy way to jump in pvp even if I have a low game time.

But thank you.

There are several French speaking corps in Gallente FW. Have you tried any of those?

Yes but living at UTC +7 make almost impossible to play with them and because I can't use a mic ( real life reason) no corp ( except miner corp and I prefer stop the game than start to mining) allow me to join them ( I understand that).

the problem is not really a corp is the abilities to solo stuff because I don't really have the choice.

Just for be a little bit more clear about what I looking for :

I don't have time anymore to play 2-3 hours per day, and no time for a corp ( understand no corp want player with so low game time).
So I looking for solo activities who give me fun and enough isk for do it efficiently. I already try lvl4 normal mission and will never do that again. I do exploration but honestly is not fun and reward nothing ( except if you get really lucky) if you can't play 2-3 hours in a row.

That why I came with the idea of FW I saw it like a mix between pve and pvp mean even in a 1 hour I can chose what I want do and earn good reward for my time ( don't mind if it's more efficient way).

So maybe I'm wrong about it or miss the reality of the FW.

Other question what ship people use for solo FW lvl4 mission ? I maybe could try that ( please I beg you nothing bigger than a cruiser hull)

it MIGHT be possible in a vexor navy issue, but you will get caught in gatecamps. What you need is a Covert Ops Proteus if u want to run gallente missions, i did it in a cov ops tengu a few times and the dps is crap

They are possible in a Vexor Navy Issue, with wardens. I do them in that sometimes. Hit me up in game for the fit. Haven't lost one to a camp yet. And I too am a part-time eve player, hitting prob -10 hours a week. Full time dad and job. But I still manage to find great content in these sparse sessions. Try a Corp. They value good players, regardless of their play times and simply being in comms to listen is enough to follow directions even if you don't speak. Just build a reputation and your killboard will speak for you.

Something like this is what you should plan on:

[Proteus, FW mission]
Damage Control II
Medium Ancillary Armor Repairer
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Armor Thermic Hardener II

Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I
Large Capacitor Battery II
Cap Recharger II
ECCM - Magnetometric II

250mm Railgun II
250mm Railgun II
250mm Railgun II
250mm Railgun II
250mm Railgun II
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I

Proteus Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Proteus Defensive - Nanobot Injector
Proteus Engineering - Power Core Multiplier
Proteus Offensive - Covert Reconfiguration
Proteus Propulsion - Gravitational Capacitor

Javelin M x5000
Spike M x1000
Federation Navy Antimatter Charge M x3000
Nanite Repair Paste x700

This gives you about 450-500 DPS depending on your skills, and all your targets in FW L4s are haulers / battleships / structures. This can easily tank all the missions except Halt the Invasion, though you'll need to pulse your repper as each cycle will rep about 1/4 your armor. The Grav Cap propulsion subsystem is key - you do a lot of traveling to pick up and complete these missions, so warp speed makes a big difference in how long it takes to complete a set of missions.

[Vexor Navy Issue, Mission VNI Vinnie 4.2]
Medium Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
Damage Control II
Thermic Plating II
800mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Kinetic Plating II
Drone Damage Amplifier II

Experimental 10MN Afterburner I
Large Ld-Acid Capacitor Battery I
10MN Microwarpdrive II
F-90 Positional Sensor Subroutines, Targeting Range Script

Prototype Cloaking Device I
Drone Link Augmentor II
Drone Link Augmentor II
Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I

Medium Processor Overclocking Unit I
Medium Anti-Kinetic Pump I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I

Warden II x5
Vespa EC-600 x5
Warrior II x5

Does roughly the same dps as that Strat. Cruiser
Can apply its dps continuously from the moment it lands
Is much cheaper than a Proteus and won't cost you a subsystem if you lose it
Can get you through camps if you time the mwd cloak warp right
Can tank choice missions. Avoid structure missions. It can do the Tactical Relay structure mission without a warp-out/paste reload.
Can blitz lvl3 assassin missions in less than a minute.

Carry a mobile depot and you can refit in a safespot:
remove DLA's, Cloak, mwd, plating hardeners, replace with:
x2 Small Diminishing Power...
x1 Medium Diminishing Power...
x2 EAMN's
x1 Scram
x1 Web
