Incursion Contest Scoresheet

I'd like to propose that after multiple fleets contest an incursion site, instead of just the losing fleet getting a message saying that since they didn't do the most damage they won't be getting any ISK or LP, that all people on grid at the completion of the site get a popup with the total damage done by the winning fleet, as well as the total damage done by the 2nd place fleet.

This way the losing fleet could see how badly they lost, which will help them assess performance, and decide if they have a decent shot in future contests. It will also help fleets understand the vitality of different doctrines, giving an objective measure of performance.

Contests are usually the most enjoyable part of incursions, and the real PvP element, so it's a bit unfortunate that the current results are rather opaque. This simple change would introduce a simple new level on information, and contribute to further enjoyment.

Stop running HS Incursions and you can find some real incursion PvP

Step 1. Run site without contest, get everyone to submit their logs & build a parser (calc approx site HP totals)

Step 2. Run site with contest, submit and parse logs. (you now know your fleets score)

Step 3. Subtract your score from total in step 1, you have approx hostile fleet score

Some FCs in shiny fleets already have this sort of thing, and if we got logs, could probably ID which log is which pilot even if they were scrubbed.

However, you need to get everybody in fleet to submit logs, and you need to keep in mind that not everytime site has the same EHP to kill, sometimes you get 1 Auga, sometimes 2, sometimes 2 Tamas, sometimes 5 tamas... but yea...

Still complicates things, and if I can parse data and write this program in less then a day and figure out how much my guys did in site, then CPP could do the same server side for an site to add ingame report, so +1 on original idea.

Could do this...but it's only approximate, and a lot of work...not to mention that it fails to account for important things like timing hull shots.

CCP already has the data, because they need it to determine which fleet won. It would be trivial to display the score for the top 2 fleets at the end.

That sounds more like shieldy drama to me. Silly shieldys with your drama fleets and max uber super shiny elite mentalities Twisted
I would actually be in favor of giving both fleets some idea of the gap between them, whether it be exact numbers or approximate, since I think it would drive players to spend more isk on shinier fits, as well as pushing players to play more attentively, both of which are good things.

Any FC that would do this, would quickly find people x'ing up in other communities instead of his fleet. Most people in leadership positions realize that RNG is a %!(@* sometimes, and you have evaluate someones performance not on a site by site basis, but their overall performance.

From there, I'm pretty sure the OP was saying that you would get a printout of the overall fleet performance, not the performance of every pilot.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

i would be very hesitant to be giving players to much in terms of metrics. but a simple notification saying x% damage done along with the "congratulations your fleet..." or "unfortunately your fleet..."
