Indeed, but why not take everything? You're clearly "superior." Take every single system and hold it for a year, and then "proclaim" your superiority. Until then, you just make yourself look silly posting things like this.

Two to three times the numbers and LP Bliss makes for plenty of "bragging rights." Sure.

((Note: I do accept that the Gallente have the war nearly won, but until you have real dominance, it's not over. Honor is not given, it is earned.))

You must be new here, we DID take every system 3 months ago and I didnt get a medal :(

I rage-unsubbed for 2.5 months

Did you really unsub because you didn't get a medal?

lol na, it was IRL stuff, but the butt-hurt is real

You want "hard"? Sit at the Eha/Innia gate with a 5k man alliance plus almost every Caldari FW corporation next door in Innia trying to take you down for three long months. That's what we did. It sharpened us and our resolve. We were forced to organize ourselves into the most brutally efficient occupancy warfare machine this game has ever seen.
This.

Throwing wave after wave of t1 frigs and dessies against a much larger force was just... glorious.

Sitting at an accel gate with 20 mates, scrolling down dozens of enemies on short range dscan with a mad smile on your face... then the countdown... 3-2-1 activate, activate, activate! Warping into certain death... but in the meanwhile, trying to do as much damage as possible to a slower and less organized enemy.

Then reshipping as fast as you could and back to the meat grinder... and finally the plex would be ours, and we knew that it would take precious minutes for the enemy to reship and come try to take it back. Or maybe we had the opportunity to reship to turkey-shooting sniper corms, to blow off some of that brutal brawling steam!

And Eha's contested level was under control, the awesome hauling dudes kept bringing ships in, losses were high but kills were much higher... And it just went on and on for days.

I remember XG saying 'this is PVP Nirvana!!!'... indeed it was!

Please excuse this GalMil grunt's circlejerk, but those were good times indeed!

Make space glamorous! Is EVE dying or not? Ask the EVE-O Death-o-meter!

This.

A handful of us got to experience something similar during the battle for Kurala. Unwilling to blindly march directly into the Gallente meat grinder, we spent our time fighting in the surrounding systems, keeping them stable for a protracted defence that never came. Constantly aware of the 80+ man blob never more than 2 jumps away we fought dirty, knowing that our enemy couldn't afford not to take the fight. Prism remained stable. Teskanen went up and down 10-20% a day. When drink got the better of us we'd run plexes in Okkamon and pray a blob landed on our gate. We went further afield, contesting useless systems (because nobody else wanted to go to Rakapas, which still makes me sad thinking about it.) When we did join the fight in Asakai, we threw away the horrible derptrine fits. Lone interceptors trolling griffins and logi in the midst of a 100 man frig fight. Taking pot shots at boosters. Whelping cruisers on the undock. Finally, Asakai fell, and the majority of CalMil withdrew to lick their wounds. We stuck around, generally being a nuisance when the opportunity arose. Did we achieve anything? Not really. Was it a lot of fun? A hell of a lot more fun than prepping the systems for the inevitable push was.

Further proof that you're only ever winning at Eve when your back is against a wall. I think it's a part of the reason why the battlefield has stagnated so dramatically. With both sides back in their comfort zones once again, it's waiting for that catalyst which will stoke the fires and get the war rolling again.

So much this. GalMil got as good as we are because several corps simply refused to leave lowsec, and refused to back down in spite of the apparent odds. CalMil used to have that too - I recall being so exhausted after grinding down Kehjari that Templis / HECON / GHIOT and company simply brick walled us in Kinnaka. Fighting with your back to the wall and a grin on your face is one of the best experiences EVE has to offer.

We Gallente have a saying: "CCP created the Gallente Militia to train the Fighters..."

We look forward to it. Our occupation warfare skills have started to get a bit rusty after trying to take all these shinies off the local pies and absentee nullbears.
