Read johnathan livingstone seagull, and see if you think the same.

She is also becoming a legend.Lol

Totally impressed.
Not only is she doing a great job, she is revitalising the energy of the entire corp.
And encouraging and supporting the creative talents of the team, to do the best they are capable of, and then a little more, is icing on the cake.

If people think your definition is a valid one, well she has taken it and given it a whole new meaning.

Thanks, Seagull.

I've read Jonathan Livingston Seagull (by Richard Bach) as well, even if a was a bit youngish at the time.

The term 'Seagull Manager' is a bit later in date (use google if you're too young or otherwise generally ignorant).

CCP's Seagull appear to be a different breed, and all reports state that it's a manager to beg for.

But there's dark secrets simmering in the nastiest parts of humankind ...

There's even a rumour that CCP Seagull is a 'furry', or LARP:er or just outright member of a group of people who dress up as something else (like a tree, an elf, a heroic dwarf (something I absolutely haven't done, but I did keep my axe)) to frolic in the woods ...

It might be that EvE-Devs are in for interesting times ...

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Makes you wonder if she chose the name to be ironic.

As a professional lighting artist I am also impressed with the use of physically based lighting in the latest release. I want more information about the technique. It's so vague.

Is this a problem for the way she does her work? What someone does in his/her private time shouldn´t interest us.

Well, of course, there is so much buzzword bingo in corporations these days, that I imagine for some, having these points at the head of one's list of important things is more critical than the Job they do. Most intelligent people Ignore such crap as much as possible.

But if your life involves working for a company where they test for this skill, at interview, then more power to you!Roll

However making unsubstantiated rumors about CCP employees personal lives is something that is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN by the terms of this forum (and civilized society) I suggest you modify your post before ISD take a dim view of your characters posting privileges. (or continuing subscription)

But it will be interesting how that works out for you?

Ps I have not reported at this point but very sorely tempted, if you attempt to RUBBISH employees reputations with libel again, I will not hesitate to. Of course Others may have already, do you feel lucky?

Edit, read more about ccp seagulls presentations, and you have made intelligent thought sound like a perversion and a personality defect. Way to show a total lack of basic comprehension in order to attempt to degrade an intelligent and imaginative person.
Maybe you should attempt to understand others before insulting them.

That argument can be made for anyone, however, it is encouraging, that her beliefs, from her presentations, focus less on the us and me, and more on the wider picture.

She is enabling her staff to be creative, and encouraging the testing of assumptions.
By doing so she is making herself less of the solution and more of the means of letting everyone be the solution.

She is creating a culture, that will reinforce itself. And does not need her to always be at the head, pushing and pulling, and that is inspirational leadership.

This is pretty damn amazing.

CCP are unbelievably lucky to have her.

There certainly seems to have been a culture shift at CCP from "The War on the Impossible" and "Pssshhh" to something much more positive. The new release schedule is perhaps the biggest proof of that.

She is a LARPer, and you should set aside your silly preconceptions about LARPers and watch that presentation all the way through, because it shows you some of what she brings to the table at CCP, and why she's such a good fit.

There is excitement in the air. And it shows. You only have to look at the forum to see a lot of honest eagerness and enthusiasm coming from CCP dudes and gals.

Interesting times ahead, oh yes. Cool

A man in a movie theater notices what looks like a seagull sitting next to him.
"Are you a seagull?" asked the man, surprised.
"Yes," answered the bird.
"What are you doing at the movies?"
The seagull replied, "Well, I liked the book."

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
