After the large outpouring of positive mails I received from my first video (many of them crying to see my mouse) I no life'd it and played quite a bit of eve to release an encore.

Well, once again - really good piloting :)
The way you separate your targets from their fleet reminds me of another great solo pilot (dunno if that will be flattering to you or not) Zao Amadues.

Really cool to see that little feature allowing us to see where you are clicking.
Also, question regarding that - do you think manual controls (WSAD/ARROWS) will add more depth to flying ships like slicer, or doubeclicking will still be superior?

I think that the WASD keys are a great addition to the game. Its hopefully going to help retain new players, and help provided another level of in game immersion. I still feel that double clicking is going to be superior, I do have a few issues with WASD at the moment.

1. More precision? No. You have wasd keys- difficult to move diagonally especially when you consider the 1 second server ticks that are going to be taking place while trying to spam your wasd. Excited to see what ccp has planned for this.

2. Manual piloting has been open for everyone, since eve became a thing. Currently you need 2 hands to effectively play eve. 1 hand controls both the camera (and ship movement simultaneously) while the other hand controls heat and module activation. If you give up camera control for wasd- piloting is going to be a problem imo. But again, things could change. The reason that most people dont manually pilot is because it is difficult. Most people cant even muster the situational awareness to solo / small gang pvp much less fly their own ship in the process. Wasd will not change the huge amount of information assaulting the player during intense pvp.

3. Superior piloting is something that a handful of eve players posses. I would venture to guess only the top .5 / .3% can actually do it. WASD will not change this. Manually flying your ship is not hard, with mouse or keyboard. Its doing so effectively in combat. (ie. Manual orbit) Understanding the acceleration / agility of your ship along with knowing when / how to apply this to PvP is where the skill comes in.

So those are my thoughts i guess? Hope that helps.

EDIT: Also check your goddamn notifications you have like 160 of them. It's really bothering me.
