API key continuously/still expired?

So I have been reactive for about 5 days now after a few months break. I have heard that there has been some work done to the API system (?).. now, I have had a new code generated for me, but ALL of the apps I am using are saying that the API key I am trying to use has expired. Am I missing something new here (is there a longer/shorter code that I need to be using now?)

Yeah, any help would be great as I would like to reactivate one of my alts, and obviously having my applications running properly will help me keep on track with whats going on with my toons.

(I have made a petition, but no answer yet; was hoping for an answer here)

Just making sure have you selected the No Expiry tickbox when making the key.

Another thing to try is to visit the following URL in your web browser and so if it spits out a line saying error ( Not sure if this page prints an error when the key is expired but worth a shot )

https://api.eveonline.com/account/APIKeyInfo.xml.aspx?keyid=yourkeyid&vcode=yourvcode

you obviously need to replace the yourkeyid and yourvcode parts with the right details.

API Key system changed. Using CAK now. Your new API keys can be created at https://support.eveonline.com/api
