Best way to use pheobe pod/clone mechanics to get to new home in null

  • So I've joined a new null corp in Curse.
  • I am in empire at the moment.
  • My clone home location is in empire space.
  • I want to retain a clone in empire.
  • I have a few jump clones in null, nowhere near my target system.

I was looking to pod express to the target system, to avoid the gate camps and get there without sustaining a loss, but then I opened the medical clone screen and it's changed. Now I'm not sure I understand the mechanics of it.


What's the best way of me getting to the target system?


  1. My current thought is to:
  2. Set my clone to the target system.
  3. Jump to one of the jump clones. I think this would then leave me a jump clone in empire?
  4. Then undock and suicide.

    5. That would take me to the target system?
    Also leaving me a jump clone in empire?

  5. Buy new med clone.


Would this work well as expected?

For future reference yes this worked.

1. Set clone to target remote station (make sure it has medical facilities!)
2. Jump clone from Empire to old clone anywhere (in my case in old null).
3. Undock & self Destruct
4. Reanimate at target remote station
5. UPDATE MEDICAL CLONE!

Mechanics are the same as they always were. Only difference is you can only REMOTELY change the location of your medical clone once per year.

Though you can change your medical clone to any station that you find yourself located in, as often as you like, if it has medical.

Yep, once a year to set it remotely. So have fun with changing it remotely again. The best way to change your medical station is to travel in an interceptor built for fast aligned and change it when you arrive.

This is going away in the Rhea release coming up soon. Looks like you not only blew your yearly remote medical clone transfer, you wasted some ISK too.
