Nope, don't want. Can you imagine how many versions of 'stuff' CCP would be maintaining if they always kept the old thing in parallel with the new thing?

+1 ... but for a "Classic" option. I miss the 'really' original UI. Would be awesome to have a retro option you can use when doing certain stuff. Cool

Why would you want them to spend resources maintaining two systems indefinitely? After a short intro period the old system should be removed entirely, assuming it is actually good.

There is a rule in UI deployment, you always have a option to revert. You apparently do not know this - a UI is such a complex bit, and this IS the interface for EVE - this breaks and the game breaks, so you don't mess around with it as a simple one switch change, regardless... and the damage control for a mess is way more resource intensive than support for a toggle feature. I would hate to have you as a Admin, your philosophy is the way of... pain.

To be honest though, having seen the new UI on SiSi the changes aren't that bad or massive enough to justify maintaining old code.

I like the new UI, I just want colored neocom buttons and full color spectrum customization back.

The only thing I would want from the old ui is the colored icons...

That's all.

I'd like the old color scheme back as well, this new one gives me a headache no matter what color scheme I pick.
hard to see what mail is read and unread, hard to see the different "bars" in mail/market lists, the one line/button you have selected stands out, the rest is just a solid color. Buttons dont really stand apart from each other with all them being the same color. I guess I'll be able to deal with it eventualy, but I dont see myself ever liking it

I'd settle for the ability to control the theme colors again via the sliders instead of being forced to use one of 21 canned themes, ALL of which are terrible no matter how much you try to fiddle with them.

Some distinguishing color on the neocom icons would be welcome as well.

Hopefully they are addressing the lag that has been introduced.

CCP will never provide an opt-out.

New UI (reskin) is miles better, EVE feels like the modern space game it is.

-1 too.

Why so much hate against the new UI? Ok, some new icons are kinda weird (yeah I'm looking at you Aura) but seriously, this new UI is 10x better than the old one and that match theme with ship option? Love it!

You'll get used to these new icons soon like everyone else and you'll get over it.

Really... I see no reason at all why they should keep the old UI in any way. You guys really hate any changes (haters gonna hate I guess...)

This should be good... apparently no one here was here for the whole Incarna adventure...

11 year vet post anywhere I want blah blah whatever.

two points:

1) -1 no the new ui is fine, I have no issues with it and kinda like it.

2) No but clearly you forget incarnia. Incarnia it's self was not what caused the riots, it was that plus ccps direction charge of over priced crap in the NES, and the greed is good memo. But honestly, ccp has made huge strides and amends, and you and everyone who whines about incarnia net to forgive and move on.

CCP needs to ability to improve and change there game as they see fit, because its there game. They also should be able to add more WiS content if they want, or make difficult changes without some idiot screaming "remember incarnia!!!" They are fully aware that if they make too many screw ups at once we will show them they ****** up. This UI change however is not one of thouse times

-1. The "new" UI is the same as the old UI. Functionally the same. Just a little less dated looking. Hard to get upset over such a small change. Not worth maintaining two copies of essentially the same thing.

The real problem with the UI is there are too many windows on the screen if you want to play the game effectively, and this was not addressed in any way by the reskin.

The old won't be coming back, it's simply not there anymore. It's been replaced with the new.
