Hi,

I've got the same issues using Windows XP SP3.

I used to press "X-TAB" to reduce all the windows when they start disappearing.
But its really annoying when it begins in fight (0.0 living too...)

On Saturday i messed on on SISIfor over an hour, oll clients max graphics setting (my graphics didnt like it but it worked).
the vanishig ui did not occur, nor did I notice any other glitches.

When the issue first occured on TQ i tried the the update graics friver trick, it helped a little, like it let me do a market search without the ui vanishing and reduced the apearence of corrupted windows (they just went invisible). Teh reason i manetion this last bit, given a coupl post mention new issues, you may still have to have the most current drivers for card, even with the current fix on sisi.

That said fix looks promising, by the way card is 9400GT, it bogs down with one client max settings.

Confirming SISI bld 325367 seems to have fixed the issue or at least increased the stability for my case.
We'll know more when it gets fully deployed Wed.

I was finally able to get on SISI. After approximately 1 hour of testing the overview is still stable. Good job, CCP Paradox.

Looks like it is now fixed for me using TQ.

Great job Paradox for the fix, and also for the good communication. If I were to go to fanfest, I'd let you buy me a beer to say thankyou! Big smile

I've been playing on TQ for the past few hours and found no problems with the UI.
Thanks for fixing this and keeping us informed in the process, much appreciated.

So while in fixed window mode - it seemed to have fixed the UI disappearing, however it caused the screen to flicker quite horribly.

It also caused you to auto look at things when you clicked on them either in space or in the over view - much like that auto target bug when you click on something in the overview it automatically tries to target whatever you have selected.

I just switched back to full screen mode and we will see how it works out.

But for now, fixed window mode is also broken.

So far so good for me on TQ since Crucible 1.0.2, except that the camera now resets everytime I jump through a stargate.
I haven't tried with more than one client yet.

Thanks for the replies. Puts my mind at rest for now that you can play again without the UI going nuts. Sassums, can you file a bug report about your problems? I can try to investigate, I have never heard of anything like that.

And Nyio, I noticed that about the camera last night. Did it used to be different? I always thought it was like that.... maybe I will check what it was like before Crucible.

Before Crucible it happened rarely, atleast not as often as now. Before latest patch 1.0.2, it happened alot (with fixed window), and now it happens on almost every jump. That's the best I can explain it..

After switching back to Full Screen mode the issues I described ceased to exist. I can file a bug report (I have one open but got an email stating they couldn't reproduce the issue)

So it seems the Fixed Window mode is where the issues are right now for me, but that is not game breaking because I like full screen anyway.

I can still file a bug report if you wish.

Confirming that as of last night the issues presented during the launch of the crucible expansion regarding the User Interface bug appears to have been resolved. Had been on from 1300 hours till 0400 hours with no signs of any rendering issues. 3 accounts logged on and going a 24 jump trip experienced no issues what so ever. Obviously had been alt tabbing between all three using full screen at 100% ui scale.

Thanks CCP for the expedient fix to this issue.

(Would it be possible to petition for standing restoration due to missions that had to be left uncompleted at the time the UI bug was in effect?)

Confirming that so far today after about 3 hours, issue is no longer present on this XP machine. I'll report again in a couple days if it stays gone.

Thanks to CCP Paradox for your follow-up and transparency in chasing down this bug!
