Don't you hate when you Mining and the Sun keeps blinking on and off, because there's a station or something...in the way.

Stopped reading at mining...

Started searching for Permit...

Perhaps you should spend less time staring at the sun, and sped a little ISK on the one truly good investment in New Eden... 10mil ISK is a paltry sum to pay compared to a lifetime of blindness.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

When you're mining, you've got to have your eyes peeled for two things: local and dscan.

wtf were you doing staring at the sun?

Poster above me has a great name.

Thread starter, I believe what bothers you is how abrupt the on and off lighting is. Seems quite artificial.

It's mostly due to how the client conceals light sources. If you stand behind a light inside the station and move, you can produce the same effect.

It's doesn't bother me much because the suns are beautiful! Those lens flares never get old.

Also, silly CODE knights. Can't mention the word mining without you guys going all "Grrr Miners!" or "Grrr Buy a Permit"!

I do wish that all miners would stop mining for about three months. It would be a very interesting social experiment considering all other activities need miners to function in one way or another. People rag on miners all the time but without them not many things would happen after about a month.

I vote for longer but to many people play the game solo and care to make a difference....kinda like the real world.

I think three months would probably do it. I would like to see how high prices would go. I mine a good bit because of my work schedule and I like mining in low sec but I would gladly put it on hold for a while to prove that mining is needed. I would like to see some of the PVPers who think they are a gift to New Eden eat some crow when their ships are too expensive or can't be found.

I'm surprised that I'm the only person in this thread who is concerned that his mother never told him not to stare at the sun.

The amount of overproduction in EVE is immense. I for one own more than eight times as many assault frigates and logistics cruisers as I have ever lost in combat (most are on the market). In fact the only ship I do not own more of than I have ever lost is Vexors.

I've lost about a billion or two worth of ships ever, and I presently own more than 15b worth *without having even tried to stockpile*. This is not rare.

If all miners stopped for a while, as long as the end of that mining holiday was known, there would be market convulsions but no shortage of ships in circulation.

I still wish it would happen, it would be very fun to see what happened. I would also like to see some graphporn that showed how many ships were in circulation and/or stored in hangers. I have a bil or two in ships but I use most of them from time to time. I do own some eye candy or special editions that I don't fly. My only real point is that high sec miners get some undue flack, yes we are stupid sometimes and some of us drop too many tears but we are useful and we do contribute to the game. It may just be as targets but we do add to the game.

Logged in just for this.
I wished CCP would correct this horrible mistake that spreads misinformation.
