#tweetfleet Thera station guns will shoot any ship using interdiction bubbles within 250km, we don't want a permcamp fest at every station.

Not sure how official this statement is - but if it gets confirmed it should ease everyone's mind about the station camping.

If the gun will shoot, just campers will use logistics, nothing changes

Unless something changed, dictors with active bubbles can't receive logistics.

Only heavy dictors, simple dictors can launch buble and warp out in spot more than 250km or make tank fit

@EVE_CSM (CSM.Leaks) is not affiliated with CSM or CCP as far as I know, and is there only for comedy purposes.

And how do you suggest you exchange gear or other things to your buddies in that station? Magic?

the corp/alliance/fleet/private chat it even works witn local.
once ye are in the same station it doesn't matter where you get the name fromBlink

I can't jumpclone back to thera. It says it's not part of New Eden.

Maybe as a initial step make it so what is a solar system today is in a planetary-moon system in the future, content, movement rates, and scanning capabilities.

You would need a lot more content in a planetary-moon system, to make that playable.
Then alter the probing mechanic to be more scalable and focused, down to maybe 0.05 AU. (or come up with a much better intel mechanic)

Then alter warp speeds and acceleration rates so it takes a few minutes to go between moons in same planetary-moon system and maybe 10-15 minutes to warp 100 AU.

Then move most Star Gates to center of solar systems where travel times from Jita to Amarr, to Rens isn't too different but leave a percentage of the gates at the outer reaches.

You could have varying jump routes depending if you use inner gates or outer gates.
That would make solar systems seem far larger without drastically changing the travel distances between Regions.

You would need to move BMs near gates as well, say less than 1 AU, to keep tacticals in place.

Would be interesting.

They just changed the game to speed up warp. Slowing it down now would be terrible.

That is a surprise though, I think many believed as it had medical facilities it would be different.
Can anyone confirm what happens If you set Thera as your home station and get podded in Kspace?Shocked
Some of us were planning to keep clones there.

The four stations in Thera will each have a full set of services, including cloning, office slots, and manufacturing. You will be able to set these stations as your medical clone location, and install Jump Clones if you wish.

So probably something that they are still working on.

More interesting? You mean just like all the other wormholes? How is that more interesting? Of course it needs cloning facilities.

Testing this out now because nobody bothered to try it.

Test (all medical clones are based in Thera)

  1. Test one. Highsec. Same system where thera has a hole. Self destructed. Result. Spawn in Thera.

  2. Test two. Highsec, 1 jump out of thera (no thera hole in system). Self Destructed. Result. Spawned in Thera

  3. Test three. Lowsec. Same System where thera has a hole. Self Destructed. Result. Spawn in Thera

  4. Test four. Lowsec, 1 jump out of thera (no thera hole in system). Self Destructed. Result. Spawn in Thera

  5. Test five. NPC Nullsec (D-Q Serpentis). Same system where thera has a hole. Self destructed. Result. Spawn in Thera

  6. Test six. NPC Nullsec 1 jump out of thera (no thera hole in system). Self Destructed. Result. Spawn in Thera

  7. Test Seven. SOV Nullsec through NPC Nullsec Thera Hole, 1 Jump out of thera (no thera hole in system), Next Constellation Over (jumped constellation gate), NPC nullsec and Sov Nullsec connection was 1 gate jump. The Hole was in NPC Nullsec, I self Destructed in Sov Null. Result. Spawn in Thera

  8. Test eight. Wormhole Space. Self destructed (was a c2 highsec 40 jumps from thera). Result. Spawn in Thera

No matter where you are, If you die, you spawn in thera.

Only test not done..

Direct SOV Nullsec Connecting Hole into Thera.

Direct SOV Nullsec Connecting Hole into Thera 1 Jump Out.

No one doubted that the medical clone will work. The active jumping into a jump clone was the issue Noriko pointed out. Obviously after-death-spawn and jumping are 2 different mechanics. Living in the hole and having a med clone to revive in is logical - but being able to jump into unknown-space -which wormholes are - is a different thing.

You don't need a guest tab list to trade. Any chat window, the fleet window, your contact list, market transaction history, killmail, anywhere you can link or do a show info on another player you can right click -> trade to them.

Even if you cannot see such a link you can create one. Just type their name in a chat window eg local, without actually posting it, then highlight the name, right click -> create link -> character.

You just need to know they are there. If that means you can't spam random people at will, well that is a bonus in my books.

I’ve had a quick look through the thread and can’t see much on scanning in Thera so for anyone interested these are my finding so far. Sorry for the long post I can’t really do a Tl-dr it’s not my way ‘old school’ is my excuse.

The one thing posted about this site is its ‘vast’ as in big and until I started scanning I didn’t realise just how big.

I was scanning in a Helios and looking for anomalies, I make a safe spot near a planet and drop a ‘pin-point’ set of probes. Flip over to the probe view and hit a ‘where are my probes’ moment, if it wasn’t for the arrows it would have taken longer to find them. They are in the centre of the screen just visible in amongst the orbit lines. I think wow this is some system.

I drag out the probes to maximum size and they barely cover the inner planets let alone the system. Dragging them to a known position (as in I know I’ll find something here because of previous experience) I get a faint hit, now the real problems start. Because (anyone who does regular scanning will know) you not only have to move probes sideways but also up and down you have to rotate the plan view to side on view to achieve this.

However because the system is so vast you have to scroll out, rotate and back in again to locate and move the probes, repeat this each time you re-scan the area and you can see scanning will take some time to complete each ‘find’. I spent quite some time scrolling out, right drag area into view, adjust probes, scroll in, adjust probes, use right and left click and drag to centre the view, then scan area and remember this is only scanning a small section of Thera at a time.

So I find a wormhole and close down scanning to warp to ‘have a look’, I then hit the next problem and one everyone is going to have to take into consideration. It took two cap charges to reach the wormhole as I couldn’t do it in one. It took another two charges to reach my ‘home station’ ready to log off for the server re-boot.

This system is big, it will be interesting to see how it works out in the long term, I have little doubt by the end of the first day all static ‘outlets’ will be mapped, but finding the elusive ones will be the fun and need good scanning skills.

I've spent a few days in Thera and I'm finding the system is far too bright, it's so bright that after undocking to fight I have to spend time moving the camera around positioning it onto a dark spot just so I can find things in space, just my opinion but I'm finding it very annoying.

Overall I think Thera is a great idea, I love the stations and layout and this is my only gripe so far. Great job.
