There will be lots of avatar based gameplay.

Example for more exploration content, things like ancient 'alien' devices on planets that can be explored and activated to generate system wide effects.

More sim based content. People will spend weeks designing habitats on moons, alien worlds etc., even laying out settlements based around industry or tourism.

Monetisation will be more prevalent, eg. Implant insurance contracts so they are replaced on pod death, possible even to Plex for permanent implants.

Hello, Just would like to as community whats your thoughts on EvE in the future.

Double EvE's current lifetime:

I see EvE with increase in computing power:
Removal of TIDI (more powerful computers make TIDI unnecessary)
4k resolution game client standard this days. Ultra high HD monitors.

Please add your thoughts below in comment. Be civil.

The bitter vets will be twice as bitter.

I imagine that most games will be fully immersive virtual reality and Eve probably won't make the transition and get left behind. But who knows. Would be really cool if you could put on your VR rig and sit down in your ship reach out and grab your controls, undock and see the station falling behind as you wiz past all the freighters and gankers clogging up Jita.

Eve will still be dying, with an indeterminate actual termination point set in the far future.

I have removed some rule breaking posts.

The Rules:
5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.

Whatever CCP do to Eve in ten years from now, some will be for the change and others will threaten to quit and take their zillion alts with them in protest.

This is not a signature.

The captains quarters door will finally open.

I expect to get this post deleted or locked. So much for freedom of expression.

Sitting in my CQ with all of those exotic dancer items now able to gyrate freely for my viewing pleasure. Then I decide to take a stroll through the station commons before stopping at my favorite Quafe Burger (there's 10 of them on this station, you know) before passing through the market area seeing all of the fancy holographic financial viewing screens showing the days latest trades, prices, etc. I may even decide to grab a seat in a cozy corner with my corp mates to watch all of the local scammers and con artists performing their trade admirably.

Please, CCP.

SHHHH, you don't talk about that here. It is forbidden.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

I'll be hiding over in the cloaky corner when this happens, charging said fleets a fee to make me go away.

Well if CCP would increase the skill queue limit from 50 to 1,000+, I could tell you what (my) next ten years of EVE would be.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Well, I've been here for 10 years already. A lot has changed since 2004 when I was just a pilot wet behind the ears. Like for example, alliances were just what you put in your character bio, not something you had to train for and then buy.

I see EVE Online continuing to add cool stuff and supporting it's fanbase. After all, we could see a new wave of gaming in the next 10 years that may take EVE Online to new heights.
