Hello everyone.

I'm starting a new exploration into a different way of playing Eve.

In short, I want to be self sufficient in the game. I know that locks me out of some areas of the game, but I have thought about that and still would like to pursue this.

I set up a blog to chronicle my adventures and difficulties. My big goal is to be able to produce and pilot a T3, just with the sweat of my brow and lasers...no help from the Market.

If you want to hear more, feel free to check out my blog or join the "Homestead Eve" channel in game. I'm doing this on a new trial account that I will upgrade in December, which is why I posted on my main. My character is Ronan Elissim.

I will be setting up a corp for any other likeminded individuals to join where we might change the rules and allow for group effort and trading to accomplish our goals since this game is so much more fun with others.

Hope to see you in chat or in the corp when I get it set up.

Easy.

Get 2-4 alts, train them up to fly mining barges, get one into an Orca (for boosts), get IS Boxer to control them all, and go mine stuff AFK for 23/7.

Be sure to join a nullbear corp so you can be 100% safe, you do this in hisec and you WILL get ganked. As for doing it in lowsec.....heehee..um...yeah...you should totally try this in lowsec......heehee.....

Soon you will be rolling in the ISK and be able to fund your hisec 'pvp' alt, as well as PLEXing all your accounts.

Welcome to EVE Economics 101.

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

I'm not trying to PLEX my account so I don't pay any money. I'm trying not to rely on the market or contracts to play my game which means I'm building or looting everything I use.

making t3s solo is easy. You will, however, not be able too without the use of the market, ever. As you will need to buy bp's and skills. but past that, its rather simple, just takes a alot of time.

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!

I don't want to put a downer on your plan, because it does sound pretty fun, but how will you get the skillbooks for your T3?

Sorry, I thought it would be obvious that you have to buy skills from the market. But outside of skills and blueprints, I plan on finding everything else on my own.

as a player that makes her money from t3 production, i'll tell you that you don't need to buy blueprints for t3 hulls and subs. your modules will be another story.

but the bp's for t3 stuff come from reverse engineering sleeper relics. the datacores and things you need for that come from sleeper data sites. the gases you need for reactions that go into components are also in WHs. in fact it is simplest to just set up shop in a WH if you can. this is what i have done.

i'm fairly self sufficient at the entire process. however, now that i've been doing it awhile and made it rather more than simply "profitable" i sometimes just buy massive amounts of some of the more annoying to acquire materials to save myself some headache.
