I am not sure what just happened we were a bunch of solo pilots on a gate in 0.5sec.

1- One pilot attempted a suicide gank (or got a killright activated on him whatever it was) and he started flashing yellow.
2- The other pilots started shooting at him.
3- When he was about to lose his ship I locked on him and participated in blowing up the suspect.
4- To my surprise the other pilots locked on me next and blew me up, saying i was flashing yellow!

Yes I do have a killright on me but it is still there and not activated, and the killmail does not show that i was killed "on behalf of..." someone.

How and why would that happen? is it a glitch?

Looks like one to me.

Looks like he had more than one killright available to me.

Looks like I can't read to me.

Nope. I already stated that "... the killmail does not show that i was killed "on behalf of..." someone."

Getting killed using a kill right shows the owner of the kill right on your loss mail, highlighted in red. This was not the case.

Did you have logi drones?

nope i was in a hurricane and no drones.

I was very very close to a yellow wreck but did not open it. could it be that my projectiles blew it up by mistake while shooting at the suspect? are the obstacles in between you and the target affected by the firing in eve?

I've encountered what seems to be a glitch with the suspect system in the last week but that was with wrecks and cans, never got around to trying to recreate it to confirm though so there's a decent chance something went wrong with crime watch here too
