Make a new spreadsheet, enter item, enter isk price, substract that from sell price, divide result by LP.
And if you have the most profitable thing, don't tell it an the forums, because when everybody sells it the price drops Lol

Wow, Eve is really eating posts tonight.

So I'm keeping it short.

Ammo is usually a safe bet. Look for a good type to sell.

Do your own research.

I'm not tolling, I mean it, if you want to find profitable ratios your going to have to find them before everyone else works it out.

I've been researching this not from a mission standpoint, but from a trading one; however, I think it's quite easy to spot the best LP deals once you understand how much LP on average you want to rid yourself of and how long you're willing to wait for that LP to return cash.

There are several items well up there in LP/isk conversion, but you have to sell-order them and wait a while for the purchase and nine times out of ten you'll have to get out of Jita to do it. Conversely, there are several moderately low LP/isk conversion items with almost limitless volume. So much volume that you can effectively sell to buy orders and not loose much because the margin is slim as hell. They might not net you the much coveted "maximum isk/lp," but if you're making a whole lot of LP per day and don't want to wait months to convert it all then you're certainly better off with the latter.

The spreadsheet comment is a good idea. I have done some of that myself, but realistically speaking you don't even need to get that far in depth on each and every item. Simply give your list of LP offers the once-over, filtering out anything with low volume. Then scrutinize the remaining deals in calculated detail. I went over most Caldari and Amarr stores last night and had a list nailed down inside an hour.

0. Get a spreadsheet, e.g. OfficeLibre
1. http://www.ellatha.com/eve/LP_Stores.asp (Not all LP stores carry the same items!)
2. Check contracts for prices on various items
3. Punch numbers into spreadsheet: (Sell Price - LP Store ISK Cost - Cost of Additional Materials) / LP Cost = isk/lp ratio. You can include broker fees and taxes in your expenses if you want to be super-accurate. "Cost of Additional Materials" can be either the buy cost, the sell cost, or an average of the two. Use http://eve-central.com/ if you need a quick number.

Free Hint: Faction and implants are easy to acquire and sell and so have a lower isk/lp conversion rate.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

If you don't want to bother with all the spreadsheet work, you can get 1200 ISK per LP (depending on the corp) by selling them (round about) to the folks at Everyday Low Prices. Can you get more than that? Sure. And if that's your cup of tea then definitely do it. But if you just want to unload the stuff for more than you'd probably get without working at it, I find them to be reliable. You can find them through the channel EDLP.
