That's up to Candi, not me.

Last I heard she got sick of waiting for your return to w-space and turned lesbian.

Nothing wrong with that either.

I'm right behind you

If you hadn't a) left out your mobile anchorables, b) been titled CEO of a 1-man corp, and c) left your name on all of your ships, they probably wouldn't have immediately pinned you as an easy target who doesn't know how WH works. They didn't even need your name on a watchlist.

@ OP

sorry man. now your just crying.

People have provided you with strategies to migate the threat but you just want to whinge.

I look forward to finding you in a WH, camping you in for a few hours while you sit trembling in your POS cursing at the unfairness of the world.

This is an MMO. Massive. Multiplayer. Online.

You should try out that new space mining game on kickstarter or whatever, with 100,000,000 systems, no PVP and all that crap.

Your complaints boil down to hating the MMO nature of EVE.

This is the same point I keep making, eg; about dockable POS's, and no local in nullsec. The EVE universe is massive. Tens of thousands of systems. A watchlist is irrelevant for the majority of the time because you cannot be in the same place as someone else if they don't want you to be. A watchlist enables the multiplayer aspect of the game, because it allows ppeople to find each other for multiplayer content generation.

EVE is not Heroes. PVP doesn't happen in a consensual arena (although, Dumbface McDumblepnts and co considered a Thunderdome Deployable, which would enable this functionality ::epic eyeroll::). Most PVP is not consensual, it's assymmetric, and unfair. Even duels on station, someone's got a booster or implants or drugses, and you don't. There you go complain about OGB's.

Being on some guys WL is sucky for you, because someone is using the WL to monitor you and camp you. It's great for them, because they get content. it is therefore, nett, a benefit for the game. Stop trying to play Heroes and start trying to play EVE - a game of corporations, social interaction and hairy-chested braggadoccio.

Think for a minute about someone aside from yourself, and figure out their motivations.
1 - You are a one man band. They want to pod you out and farm the pinata when your tower defuels.
2 - You have now whined on the forums, so they want the tears.
3 - You fly unreasonably shiny ships, and they seek pimp kills.
4 - You annoyed them in some way, and they are pretty sure that their mother did not have congress with a goat as you claim, and wish to disabuse you of that notion.

You say you've got friends. Well, there you go. provide the guys a fight, let them pod you out, maybe you and your friends will win. maybe you won't. I hope you have out of corp alts for probing yourself back in before your tower runs out of juice.

As for your tower, you do realise that you can pack up the internal organs, the SMA, CHA, and the stuff in it, into a DST and turn the POS off and leave for months at a time? They won't kill the tower for faeces nor fun tiems just because you own it. So...just lleave. SD all the cheap crap in front of them, strip the pimp off the hulls, put it in a DST or cloaky transport, turn the stick off and go. Come back to the hole in a month (ie; use your alt for what it's meant for) and jimmy down the tower one night, and be gone.

meanwhile, you can move into another wormhole (I will find you one if that's hard) and make money. It might take a few hours of grinding to replace your ventures and whatever, but really, just sitting there whining is costing you more right now.

Watchlists enable content. Broken, sure. But you must be as the water around the stone. Wax on, wax off.

I posted on the forums fully aware pf the consequences. I anticipated people would threaten to watchlist me as a result. You can't hide from anything you put online. I own what I say and I stand behind it. So let's make one thing clear:

I never sought anyones sympathy. I want a solution to a problem that many of you are outright admitting is broken. I'm saying it shouldn't exist. I personally am not the topic of this debate. Watch listing and public display of ownership tags are the topics of this thread.

And I'll repeat myself here since some people didn't get it the first time: I'm not scared of fighting. I'm not mad that they were running sites in my hole. I couldn't even care if they killed my tower. What I don't like, what I really hate is that they left 7 guys including interceptors hanging around to catch me because they knew I was online thanks to what is functionally a 3rd party intel tool that was designed for tracking friends not enemies. I went afk for like 4-5 hours and they still left these guys waiting for me. It's not even as if they brought back their farm fleet to finish off my hole. I'm not that stupid it takes more than that to catch me.

I didn't leave lowsec wars and FW to come to wormholes to live in complete peace. I could have stayed in highsec for that. I could have logged on to ddo yesterday and played that if I wanted. Or skyrim. Something where there is little or no risk at all. No I play eve instead where the risk of dying is present but I want that opportunity to be fair which means only friends getting notifications by rhe game that I'm online.

There is no concrete reason to leave watchlisting in wormholes the way it is. There's no reason to leave it the way it is period. The arguments in its favour are weak. You think you are lions but you are more like dogs hunting cats with bells on their collars.

Get an SMA. Watchlists work as intended they are meant to tell you when someone comes online and I wont set people to friendly status(blue) just so they can watchlist me or me watchlisting them. Thats dumb.

Well if its ingame its not 3rd party. You are wrong.

EVE is not fair. War is not fair. It is known.

For the love of Bob would someone watch-list me so I know when I log in!?!?!

Watch- list is hardly an issue. If having 'your' things tagged as such bothers you pack it up and live out of a Station. If you don't want to live in a station deal with the fact that your name will be put on everything.

It's 3rd party. By definition, because it doesn't involve direct player action or the indirect action of npcs which would be 2nd party aka locator agents. It IS 3rd party.

EVE is not fair. But a game needs rules that are fair to both teams in any situation and one-way free intel isn't fair.

I'm not going to support the status quo just because it makes *you* happy. If you can sit there on one hand and say this feature is broken and not working as intended then how can you sit there on the other hand and say that it's obviously fine because it's part of the game?

If people like you were in the dev team then critically needed changes like jump drive nerfs would never occur because it would be a loss of convenience for those parties with vested interests in maintaining the status quo even when that is a bad thing to do.

And same again here. Does your car have your name stickered all over it? Maybe yours does but the average car where I come from certainly doesn't. Your ability to perform incredible feats of mental gymnastics in order to justify your position is truly astounding. Please try again with an actual salient REASON to keep it like it is. IF you can.

Aww wow that's kinda sweet!

I can't really like, afford anything though! So I just steal Erica's space credit card when she's asleep.

But yeah, like, first thing I plan to do when I get back into the capsule is take alllll these clothes off and wash the dye outta my hair. Well actually that'll be the second thing I do, right after I find out where in the actual heck I am and exactly how to get back to a k-space dressing room. Hopefully I can remember how to scan!

I like your new look though, by the way, Mista Thorp!! Hope things have been going good for you?

OP, as im sure you know, this game is a multiplayer game. My opinion (for what its worth...) is that w-space encourages peeps to work together to become more effective as a team. If you choose to be solo (which you are perfectly entitled to), then you have to come prepared to deal with the repercussions of your choices.

If anything i'd say watchlisting is more of a pain for peeps with supercapital assets - where every move is watchlisted by the other half of eve...

Ohh i am glad you will get time to freshen up before you start to look around, i have been keeping well especially so with changes in landscapes. You will have to hit the books and read up on a few things that have changed in the unknown spaces, i know jack can walk you through them with his nonchalant cynical tone.

Perhaps fairly soon we can clone jump to a catch up over a latte/T3 gank in Thera. Bring all the sisters we can do cake and Ishtars.

Yeah lots to catch up on!

I never really spent much time with that Mista Miton, but my sister has a bit of a space crush going on him I think. I used to like tagging along in fleets with Rollo and Iso 5 though, but people kept thinking I was a target 'cause I was out of corp.

Thera sounds super fun!! I'm not allowed to eat cake though n' can't really fly an Ishtar, but I'll bring some celery and my Stratios!
