In the small chapel of a Monastery on Chaven...

A tall man in a brown robe held aloft a tattered brown book of Amarrian scriptures. "Blessed be those who serve God and our glorious Empire, for they of faith shall never be forsaken, for they of faith shall always have a home in Amarr. Amen". He lowered the book and raised his head. A chorus of "Amen" rose from the assembled group of approximately twentyfive Amarrian Monks present.

From the side a young initiate Monk approached and whispered in his ear "It is time My Lordship". Nodding slowly the man turned to the other Monks and smiled as they said "God be with you Sir"... he replied "... And with you as well".

He turned and walked out of the small chapel into the sunlight. Chaven had been his home for the last two years, this small Monastery providing shelter, comradeship and faith as well as healing for his war weary body. His faith while never lacking had in the years preceding his arrival taken a beating. While always a man of God who served the Empire he had grown very tired of the constant banter with the lessor races. As he aged his body began to betray him and his health declined until finally he made the decision to enter Monastic retreat.

In orbit around Chaven is an Amarr Navy Apocalypse Battleship...

Marines snapped to attention as an honor guard stood as if statues as the brown robed Monk boarded the mighty golden warship. "Welcome aboard Sir" said an officer as the man simply nodded and replied "Good to be back". He then walked with a minimal escort to his quarters where he would retire for the short trip to Amarr Prime.

Moving through space the mighty Navy Apocalypse was an inspiring sight. The highly polished hull glistened in the light of the nearby star and other small ships moved from its path as it lumbered toward the jumpgate. After passing thru and travelling the short journey thru Ashab and into Amarr Prime the ship slowly moved toward the station taking a short detour around the monument. The golden hull reflected the equally polished hull of the station as it moved toward a docking position. Finally inside the massive Emperors Station the battleship came to rest and a docking walkway was extended to meet the vessel.

The dockworkers stood around gazing at the beautiful warship. Only the finest of the Empire flew a Navy Apocalypse and they wondered who it belonged to. Along the hull was a name in black script... TES ROYAL SOVEREIGN II. Slowly the hatch opened and a small contingent of twenty Amarrian Marines moved down the walkway and took up positions on either side. As they snapped to attention the dockworkers were startled to see a single individual in a long brown robe move down the walkway followed about ten feet behind by four Kameira guards. As the man walked past the dockworkers they tried to glance under the hood of the brown robe but the most they could make out was a gray beard and moustache. They wondered who it was as he passed by and the Marines moved on.

Walking thru the station the Marines kept station forming a perimeter around the mysterious brown robed gentleman. Travelling a short distance they arrived at the door of a simple but large office. Above the doors were the words "For God and Empire" in golden script. To the sides of the doors were two logos, one side featuring an older lion on a shield of light blue and white and the other featuring an alliance logo with the letters PIE incorporated within. Turning to his escort and the Kameira he nodded and said "Thank you... I will be fine from here". The senior Marine snapped to attention an said "Yes Sir!" and ordered his fellow Marines to take up station outside. The four Kameira did not want to leave their master unattended but nonetheless followed his instructions and moved to the side. The man turned and opened the door and went inside.

The corporate office of Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris was a busy place. While beautifully formal it was also functional. After stepping in he saw the reception desk. Almost automatically while hardly looking up the attendant said "sign in please" and went back to his work. This being the general visitors entrance there was not much formality at check in. Moving up to the reception desk the brown robbed man reached forward and took a writing instrument out of its holder to sign the guest log. As he did the young PIE officer at the desk glanced up and noticed the large gold stripe on the inner sleeve of the visitor. Glancing up he saw a glimpse of the visitors face but mostly just the gray beard and kindly smile. The officer took the sheet from the man and glanced down at it. It was signed "A Friendly Monk" and nothing more with "Admiral Shaikar" as the person he intended to see. The officer looked up and said "I'm sorry sir I don't see any appointments for the Admiral this afternoon..." as he looked back at the clipboard then back at the visitor.

Just then behind the young attendant officer a glass shattered. Turning around the officer saw the elderly PIE attendant, Mirillian, drop a silver tray that had held a crystal wine glass and a bottle of wine. She gasped as she looked at the visitor as if she'd seen a ghost. The Monk walked over to her and said "Hello Mirillian it is good to see you again". The elderly lady simply nodded and muttered "Yes my Lord" and scurried off for a broom.

(continued from above)

Just then down a large stairway Admiral Shaikar entered the entry foyer. "It is you! I heard the report and I didn't believe it!". The young PIE officer snapped nervously to attention as the brown robed Monk merely smiled and greeted the PIE CEO with a firm handshake. With a slight smile he said "I request permission to rejoin the fleet". Shaking his hand Admiral Shaikar smiled and said "You never have to ask" before leading the visitor up to the PIE Admiralty suites. Walking up the stairs the Monk smiled and said "It is good to be home".

Mirillian returned and began to sweep up the broken glass from the floor. The young PIE officer at the desk went over to her and helped her clean up the broken crystal. "Who was that man?" he asked. "You don't know?!?" she replied with a stunned look on her face. She wondered how soon the young forget their elders. "Who was he?!?" he asked again with a firmer tone. Smiling she said simply "He's a Servant of God"... she turned and nodded toward a large wall on one side of the foyer. The wall contained paintings of all the Admirals of PIE Inc. All were painted in full style standing before the flags of Amarr and PIE. Slowly the officer began to run across the formal portraits and names, Golan Trevize, Hardin, Gaius Kador, Light Kominski, Gaven Lokri, Rodj Blake, Shaikar and so many others. Names from the long and glorious history of the oldest Amarr loyalist corporation in existence. As he scanned the many full portraits he stopped and stared at a portrait of an Admiral in a brown robe. His face mostly hidden by the hood and the only semblance of rank present a thick gold stripe on the sleeves adorned with an embroidered cross. His eyes widening he read the name on the gold plaque beneath the portrait... Archbishop. Slowly turning he looked up at the closed door of the PIE Executive suite with a stunned expression on his face.

Perhaps this is the one; the one who will rescue PIE from its decent into liberalism; the one who will search the Scriptures and find at their heart the Sacrifice of Molok the Deciever upon the altar of God; the one who will bring to a fallen PIE the righteous and holy art of slave sacrifice and the attendent arts slave cutting and slave bleeding.

Preach! Preach of the glory of slavery, the filthiness of the Minmatar, the horror of the Judgement, and the destruction of the Wicked!

Amen. Amarr Victor.

I took the time to do some investigating into Archbishop's sermons and contributions to these boards based on your beseeching him here.

If his past is any indication of his future, you're not going to find your satisfaction with this one, Monsieur Nauplius.

This is true comedy. You do realize that both myself and Lord Admiral Shaikar are significantly more conservative than our good comrade Archbishop, no?

Ah, it’s good to see more of the forgotten puppets of the Amarrian Empire return to their former ranks. Unfortunately, even your own people have trouble remembering who you are. This is typical for the feeble minded who are almost always deceived by shiny objects being teased before their eyes. But we all know, Archbishop, you wouldn't have it any other way.

May your loyal fans welcome you with a swift clip to the face. If they don't, I surely will...

Let the cries of "Too long, didn't read" ring out once more from the masses.
