Hello everyone.

One thing that seems to come across as odd is the Intaki Reborn character selection. This selection seems to suggest that Rebirth, even pre-technological, is a factual and observable phenomenon in New Eden. Idama are capable of dying, and without technological assistance, move into the body of an unborn child to live out another life, unique yet with shared memories of previous lives.

It is also noted that technology has 'perfected' this phenomenon, allowing such transfers to be under taken by those who might not otherwise be capable of the act that the Idama are allegedly capable of. This leads me to a simple question:

Assuming that technological rebirth is a fact (as it is within the biomedical/neural science capabilities in lore), is Rebirth now a belief made real by technology, or is true Rebirth by the Idama presented as fact in the modern day?

I understand that some questions must be left unanswered to preserve mysteries/lore, so I will present a softer alternative in the context of 'common knowledge lore':

What is the general opinion in the Federation on Rebirth as a real, factual and observable phenomenon?

Is it a divisive issue (factually, not ethically - I can imagine hijacking fetal minds has a slew of support/opposition groups in such a liberal society)?

Are the Intaki the ONLY bloodline to practice Rebirth or are there others, be they copy cat or completely separate cultural development?

As far as I know, it is considered fact. I know people who rp that their character is affected by the Intaki rebirth thing.

Also, previous thread talking about this.
