Crucible 1.0.2 Client Update #1

Players with old avatar appearances (Post-Incursion) are no longer forced to create a new character and can now have their old appearance returned to them. Are you talking about the the looks we had before Carbon?

A dev answered your question in this thread on the same topic. (To a point, player answers clarified it)

You can use the Dev-Post button to search for developer answers. Alternatively, there is a [Search Forums] button on the ribbon to the right.

Hope that helps!

Well, dev explained it poorly.

What I think it means is that sometime between the new(ish) avatar launch and now, they revamped how avatar data is stored. Most people didn't notice the change because they ran some kind of script that just made everything work. A few people fell through the cracks in the script and instead of retuning error messages and stuff, it left their avatars with no data, meaning they'd have to start all the way over again.

What I wish it meant is that we can go back to the days from before CCP decided they couldn't give two farts about art, and focused on craming as many pixels and polys on the screen as they can, that we can petition to get our old old avatars back.

Sadly, CCP will never admit the art sucks now because the lame-ass art director cares more about graphics than art.

Maxim 6. If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

I understand it the same way as you do.

So the core answer is:

No.

Which should have been obvious to anybody from the (Post Incursion) tag in the original text.

In this post I looked at reasons why a good title is essential. These are some suggestions for turning a bland title into one that captures the imagination of the reader.

For example, suppose you write an article about “Getting links to your blog” On its own this is particularly boring, especially because this topic has been done many times. These ideas can make it more attractive. Which do you think is most interesting? which would you want to read?

1. How To:
“How to create more inbound links to your blog”
We read articles if they are informative, how to, suggests we will be told something useful.

2. Secrets:
“Secrets of Gaining inbound links”
This suggests there are actually some new ideas for getting links that haven’t been covered on the other 10,000 + SEO blogs.

3. Myths:
“Myths about getting inbound links to your blog”
People love the debunking of conventional wisdom

4. Question:
“What is the most effective way of Getting inbound links?”
Encourages reader participation

5. Top 10:
“Top 10 Strategies for getting more inbound links”
The popularity of lists on the internet, never ceases to amaze me .

6. How I did it:
“How I got 100 links in my first month of Blogging”
A personal story and personal experience is a good opportunity to make the article unique. People respond very well to a unique, personal perspective.

7. Celebrity:
“How Paris Hilton can help you get a ton of inbound links”
(who is Paris Hilton anyway?)
