Best implant set for PVE combat?

Hello.

I'm trying to make sense of the bewildering array of implant options, and I'm interested in hopefully starting a discussion about which set of implants provides the most useful advantage to a PVE-oriented combat pilot.

Thank you in advance for your opinions. :)

I'm not well-versed in this myself but Crystals combined with a shield boost amp, as well as a hull bonus (if applicable), do wonders for active shield tanking. Just thought I'd throw the obvious one out there first...

Get a Ascendancy set, considering the time you spend in warp, especially with a battleship. Then use the other hardwiring for damage, application, velocity and tank.

Depending on your ship.

Crystals for shield.
Slave for armor ( more buffor so you can tank using DPS, and slowly repair your armor to 100% when most of enemies are dead , excellent for paladin)

Proper damage hardwiring that will increase DPS.

But there are exceptions, warp speed implants , could be fun , if you blitz LVL 3 missions in a machariel.

Hmm, for anything armor smaller than a cruiser I like "halos"(Sig radius) and weapon specific hardwiring ,

bigger than that I tend to go "slaves"(armor hp amount) and "noble" (active tank)hardwiring with wepon specific implant or two squeezed in there to fill space.

My shield skills suck currently so you would be better off with someone else advice on that.

I tend to have midgardes as they're mostly as good as highs and about half the price.

In your case it is more about the hardwires.
You dont need implants (slave, cristal etc) for PVE at all. Only exception I could see are scanning implants or Implants with attribute bonuses +4 or +5 for faster skilling.
With hardwires you can get bonuses on armor repair, tracking, optimal range damage ourput etc.... ..that are attributes that will help you in PVE as well.

For a catalyst with rails, I would go with a Surgical Strike (Eifyr & Co. 'Gunslinger' SS-900 series) series implant to improve DPS, and some kind of tracking enhancer (Eifyr & Co. 'Gunslinger' MR-700 series) to make it easier to hit frigates in close. The nice thing is these apply to any turreted weapon (non-missile) so you can carry them with you as you move up to larger ships.

The rest of the implants I would use to reduce sig radius, and boost tank. If you active tank, you could also look at implants to assist your capacitor amount or recharge.

Will I get banned for boxing!?!?!
