My first starbase - questions

Hello there!

I recently opened up a starbase in highsec, to offer my corp research and manufacturing facilities in our home system, which otherwise has none. I was wondering if it is possible to lease station services to other players/alliances? There are a lot of miners around, and some of the facilities (like reprocessing) might be useful to the ones who do not have a starbase.

Nope. You can give out the starbase password but only alliance members can use the modules.

Thanks. That's helpful. Maybe we can offer direct trades ore-> reprocessed materials at set rates per ore instead.. some initial math but might work after that... hrrmmm

Your best option is to create buy orders for ore in the system with the POS, with a range of anywhere in the system (optionally only one station in the system), compress the ore, and sell the compressed ore locally. Optionally, haul the compressed ore to a trade hub where you can sell it for a better price.

In most cases compressed ore (= 100 ore) is worth more than the minerals you get from it, but your market may be different. Make sure to do the math to make sure you don't cheat yourself.

[Example spreadsheet v1.01. Enter current mineral prices at the top, reprocessing facilities at the bottom. I've since improved this sheet, and will update when I get a chance.]

Another question, is there any way to make the refineries/labs etc output to a personal storage unit, rather than a corporation tab?

Sorry, no. There is no teleportation of items in EVE.
