Mid and Low slot mods.

Hi there all. Big smile

Why is web and warp disruption mods only for mid slots?

That means I can only use an armour ship and not a shield ship, because I need the mid slots for the web and warp disruption mods for pvp.Sad

Isn’t it a bit unfair to shield ships owners? Sad

no it isnt.

why are damageamp mods only lowslots, its unfair to armour ship owners.

there are choices and sacrifices to be made and that's a good thing.

there is always trade offs when it comes to tanking. if the boat has more low slots, then it can be assumed to be armor tanked, when it comes to shield boats which generally have 5 slots, you have room for a small tank, but you can use all the low slots for extra dps. armor boats dont usually have this luxury. at the end of the day it also depends if you are flying solo or with a group, generally in a group you have your dedicated tackler so you dont need to fit a web etc.

Do note a couple things:
1. Ships designed to have shield tanks tend to have a few extra mids
2. You aren't required to fit the ENTIRE rack as tank or support modules; you can mix them

Also be aware that Armor tanks have a trade off in that damage increasing modules fit to the lows. You're going to have trade offs no matter what tank you have; on all ships you are going to have to balance your ability to be a brick and actually apply damage.

It's not hard to PVP in a shield tanked ship.

For losing a support mod or a having a smaller tank, you gain in DPS and speed.
