Spontanious overload

Tonight while running a mission my low modules spontaniously jumped into overload. they were quickly damaged 80-100%. The overload buttons were not pushed in any way. I repaired at the station and went back to my home system. Some time later a corp mate of me reported the very same issue. Spontanious overload of the low modules and not even touching kb or mouse.

Anything happening at the server base? bug? glitch?

check your key bindings both in game and on any drivers for mice/keyboards you might have,
that's usually what this kind of thing turns out to be

I've had my low modules spontaneously overload without me touching a thing.

Just sit back and enjoy it, my friend.

Also, make sure your stomach is entirely under the keyboard, especially if you're leaning in to read the overview.

My mids did that the other day, while I was in combat. Suddenly my prop mod and all shield hardeners are passing 50% damage, they hit 70% before I noticed and could stop the overheat on the rack.

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.

Spontaneous Overload

Sounds like a good name for a player corp or alliance.

Spontaneous overload is what happens to local if you happen to relieve the right person of their hull at just the right time with just the right 'unfair' tactic.

There are times you wish local could burn out though....

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Came expecting a thread on eating disorders. Left somewhat relieved.

Spontaneous overload? I had that happen once in college, I swore to her that this never happens to me....but I was lying.

There are a number of reports regarding this that ive heard while ingame including 1 from a corpmate, if you have repaired the damage and a certain its not been caused by accidental overheating I would suggest you try to find some way to reproduce it if possible and file a bug report. Alternatively post this in the issues and workarounds section, CCP departments involved in the fixing of such an error should it be a server thing are more likely to see it there than in general discussion.

Huh, happened to me too. Thought I was just having a klutz moment and had accidentally lit up my lows. Guess not.

I told you people that having crews is a bad idea.

Get rid of them.

Happened to me for the first time a couple of days ago. There was no input from me that I am aware of, so I haven't been able to reproduce it.
