Never bothered with salvaging PvP wrecks ... is it worth to salvage a T2 frig wreck? What skills do I need to succeed?

It can be very profitable, but it's hit or miss. All you need is the Salvaging skill, but they can take a lot longer to salvage unless you have Salvaging V and T2 Salvagers.

T2 wrecks can yield T2 salvage. So it can be quite profitable if you get the right stuff; single crystal I beams, intact armor plates, power circuits etc. you need a salvager and the salvaging skill at 4(?), it's been a while so don't quote me on the skill being at 4.

Just adding, that it is important to understand this is the minimum level required to succeed. As in having a 5% chance of success/cycle. It might be lvl3, but I've not salvaged in ages either. Either way it will still mean you'll take forever to succesfully salvage the target. If you want to focus on salvaging, you want to pile up as many salvaging bonuses as you can to make sure your salvaging attempts are actually succeeding on a regular basis.

This is how I earn my I iskies for my frigate pvp.
I usually travel round lowsec fw areas looking for t2 wrecks. I find the magnate the best ship for the job, a couple of salvagers, a cloaking device, mwd or afterburner, couple of shield mods auxiliary power core, 3 stabs, salvage rigs and some salvage drones and your good to go.
Mines lasted many months and gave me many tense moments and has payed for itself more then 10 times over. Some nights I'll go out and find 40mill in salvage and loot, and sometimes I'll go out and won't find anything.
