I've noticed that there is a Likes received beneath my profile picture. Is that likes for the current thread the player posted in or likes that a player has received on all posts?

as you will notice with the like I just gave you, it will stick with you wherever you may go.

it's likes overall.

It is overall. However, keep in mind that it's not always a true indicator of how well a particular person posts or how intelligent they are, just of how many they can get to agree with their posts or how many times they posted in the 'like and get likes' thread.

I've seen some people with 1-5k+ 'likes' but who post like they're in a middle school gossip group (and others with one like who actually know what they're talking about). So 'likes' are ok to look at, but take it with a grain of salt.
