Hello,
since I want to join Gallente Faction Warfare soon I am planning my skills and looking for a good fitting for a beginner.
It should be fleet compatible and maybe less than 5 million. Maybe an atron.
It should be future compatible so I can update and build on it.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
Maybe one of these?

or

But which?

Thanks,

The Atron is a great frigate. You can fit it in a lot of ways depending on what you're about to do. Shield or armor, ab or mwd, cheap as possible or t2 fit, rails or blasters, solo or fleet/gang.

Fleet compatible and under 5 millions you go with the classic derptron, the specific fit depends a lot on your CPU and powergrid skills tho. The basics are a limited 1mn microwarpdrive, a medium shield extender (meta 1 is fine), j5b scram, blasters as big as you can fit.

Micro Auxiliary Power Core I

Insulated Stabilizer Array I

Initiated Harmonic Warp Scrambler I
Medium Subordinate Screen Stabilizer I
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I

Limited Light Ion Blaster I, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge S

It costs around 1.5 mills. Note that it's actually a tight fit powergrid wise, so you should train asap for power grid upgrades V (you should regardless, really) and the other skills that reduce powergrid usage of the modules you're using. Meanwhile, you might have to downgrade blasters to electrons (which suck balls).

Again, in FW space, this fit is strictly a fleet doctrine, you can't really solo in it generally, it only works against a handful of fits, not all that common around lately (kitey condor and similars), and if you know what you're doing.

On a more general note, don't think you're gonna have 1 fit to work on, evolving it as your skill progress, that's gonna b good for any job. You fit accordingly to what you have to do, who you have to fight, who you fly with.

The Derpatron is a popular starting fit.

Thanks for the answers.
Is the Atron Fitting with its Shield Tank Mods realy future compatible?
I mean Gallente Ships are mostly armor tanked.
Or do "high skilled" (old) players still use that fitting as a tackler?

What about an Incursus dual armor rep fitting with Ion Blasters?

Thanks,

Imo the atron works best as a hull buffer tanked speed boat. Use hull rigs and DCU for tank. Leavs all lows bar 1 for magstabs. That allso gives u the option to run full tacke or dual prop. If you only whant a scram and mwd you can popp a td in last mid aswell. Atron is alot like a firetail in that it can be fitt in alot of ways but hull tank is the way i go on all of them.

This slasher fit can be very valueable in fleets as it is insta-locking with a long point. On the downside, it has no tank other than speed.

My Velator is overpowered.
