So I have been considering getting an Archon and treating it as a mobile home. My plan is to fill it with frigates and travel around each and every region (excl sov null) doing solo PVP.

Have any of you lot tried this? And what sort of problems did you come across?

It seems like a pretty fun thing to do as a solo frigate PVPer.

If you do plan on staying in an Area for a prolonged time, then yes, this might work.
However, the Jumprange of Carriers just got nerfed, so you will have to travel some jumps by going through a gate.
Be cautious, be scouted and you should be on the safe side.

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah I'm aware of the new jump changes, I dont see much of an issue with them as I wont be in a rush to get anywhere.

If you're going to fly mostly frigates, you probably won't need to carry them fitted.

So consider a Jump Freighter instead:

. Moar space (though packaged ships only)

. Longer range, less jump fatigue. Even if you're not in a hurry, jumping just 5LY max at a time is a PITA of cyno chains.

. Can also go to highsec to shop, from time to time

Read this: excellent advice and always jump directly to station in low/null (with a well-placed cyno - read the guide).

Came expecting a request for a capital-sized Damage Control module.

Am leaving pleasantly disappointed.

There's a new ship you may be interested in, head over to f&I and look at the top of the stickies.
