Pretty common misconception that the Amarr got about faced and bent over by the Jove - the battles between them were actually very close to an Amarr Victory - even if you have a ship that can blap 3-4 others quickly, sheer numbers will always win. The timely intervention by the Jove Motherships was their saving grace (since the Amarr had nothing with them to repel firepower of that magnitude).

If Jove space were to be opened up, I wouldn't be satisfied unless it had defence forces that would require player fleets of dozens if not hundreds of ships to take on. The Jove invented the capsule and were using it long before the four empires got their hands on them. Jove NPCs should be able to target capsules. Reverse-engineering even a single Jovian module should require significant effort - deploying an entire fully-fitted Jovian ship should be a thing of legend. Jove space should be true endgame content - unskilled pilots need not apply.

Problem with that is Jove Tech isn't something like T3 modules, its T8. Anything fitting it would be instantly overpowered.

Now if the reverse engineered Jove Tech was ever considered, then it would have to be downgraded to a Meta T2 variant, as to not be game crippingly overpowered.

Only way I could imagine Jove space to work if you had a survival timer once you enter and when it ticks down with you still being around the Jove decide enough of this child sniffing around and they pop and pod you back to where you belong. The more active you are and the more noise you make, the quicker your time is running out.

From the battle of Vak'Atioth :

"Forewarned, the Jove were able to meet the Amarr fleet with a perfect counter. The Amarr fleet was composed mostly of battleships and heavier cruisers. Its support was light, leaving the fleet sluggish and unguarded.

The Jove countered with small wings of frigates. While the Amarr scored the first kill, destroying a stationary Jove ship (Amarr glorious AFK kill :P), the Jove frigates quickly reached full speed and were able to pin down the Amarr vessels. It was then that a Jovian Mothership was brought onto the field. An ancient vessel of a size nearly unmatched throughout New Eden, it had been equipped with the latest and most devastating of Jove weaponry. Each shot was capable of destroying an Amarr battleship entirely.

The Amarr, finding their ships pinned by the Jove frigates and being picked apart by long-range cruiser fire and the Mothership's doomsday weapon, fell into chaos. Their lines of communication were broken and Amarr battle doctrine refused surrender or retreat.

The entire battle lasted just under six hours and ended with the majority of the Amarr ships lost, while the Jove had lost only a third of their vessels. "

That sounds like faced and bent over to me.
If they can do that to an Amarr Armada just with firgates, cruisers and one of the Motherships, I only wonder what they can do with all three of them and the whole Jove Navy.
So yeah "Amarr Victor!" - just not that day sis'.

Plus Fozzie said they're working on some sort of story to go with why sleeper tech will be found in K-Space as well as J-Space.

Lies! All lies!!

There are no Jovians!

You might not believe in the Jove but the Jove believe in you ! :D
They gave us the capsule which is:

a) the greatest act of benevolence from a superior race
or
b) the mother of all intelligence networks (they built the capsule, something tells me they know it's ins and outs very well, so our childish firewalls and barriers are nothing to their infiltration methods, should they choose to take a peek)
or
c) the sickest kill-switch designed (we're just one forced neural scan away from taking the pod express)
or
d) the most devious Trojan Horse ever (some day maybe we will hear Aura whisper softly "execute order 66" and we find ourselves shooting Concord or the Empires while swearing on all the gods we are not doing it)
or
e) the widest and most complex live study case on the workings of the brain and human nature.

But this is all speculation of course...
