What would be funny is that some of these nullsec alliances are the ones complaining about the hobojamming nerf...they could very soon be thanking their lucky stars for it if they lose their space in the upcoming Phanish Inquisition.

Hello Sir,

Are you using an alt to post here ? Because I double checked your records and I dont see any "taking an entire region with this as 30 people". Are you dreaming to be part of Pasta ?

Looks like you are losing your mind with madness.

Another of the many mechanics that we're looking at for Phoebe is the so-called "hobojamming" mechanic. This is the mechanic where an interdictor pilot can undock from a station, drop a bubble to block capital ships from leaving the station, and then immediately redock before being locked.

In general we like to have lots of good methods for disrupting larger groups, but this "undock-bubble-dock-repeat" mechanic doesn't provide enough risk to the dictor pilot to be properly balanced.

So after Phoebe if a player in an Interdictor ship docks at a station that shares a grid with some of his or her Warp Disrupt Probes, those probes owned by the docking pilot will be automatically destroyed.

We believe that this change provides us the best solution to keeping the station-camping gameplay balanced while avoiding breaking other aspects of interdictor gameplay.

Big thanks to all the players who have engaged in the robust and lively discussion around this issue of the past several months, reading these discussions greatly helped us zero in on the best change.

Not sure who crawled up CCP's ass and decided to screw with the Goons but well done Fozzie, that is probably one of the most idiotic waste of time CCP have made this year. So much broken with the game and you decide to waste code on hobo jamming. How soon before you leave for Riot?

Now, I'm making myself look stupid here by replying a brand new troll alt, BUT

Hahahahhaahhahaahaa. Your post cracked me up. Knowing that there is the minute chance that you are genuinely being serious is just too funny. Because I mean, why would CCP ever distribute manpower to fix lots of little issues at the same time as working on the big ones, when they could just devote all their resources to one single issue at a time, and let the multitude of other issues continue unfixed, forever? Given that there is always going to be bigger issues than the smaller ones.

But again, shame on me for replying to an obvious troll/satire post.

Shut up already Pasta, this is not reddit. Your fools fly only bombers and ceptors anyway and that's being sorted right ?

Don't take it personal, we got 20-30 systems cloaky camped. :)

This is how little skill we really have, we just afk camp renters.

Fixed for PASTA actual MO. Also your tears on bomber changes are sweet, almost makes up for losing hobojamming. PASTA .. the 30 man alliance multiboxing days are over.

Hi Dev

Simple Question:

Why not giving the Pilot activating an Interdiction Sphere Launcher an Agression-Timer?

Not seeing the Point in exploding Probes when i dock, but don't if i leave system or warp away.

Would solve Hobojamming and 1-Dictor-2-side-Gate-Bubbling (pretty sure there's a name for it but don't know it)

as many others I wonder why CCP couldnt give dictor pilot aggression timer once his bubble affects someone (not being able to warp), instead of this "backward" fix. Selfdestructing bubble doesnt make any sense.

Sibius Aidon wrote:

No need for that. The trick is to have a faster instalocking interceptor, or have an instalocking Keres on the field with a scram.

no instalocker helps as you can fit interceptor for instawarp.

I support the idea of removing bubble immunity for interceptors, at least for interdictor bubbles.

CCP Fozzie - You might have some problems with the grid and explody things. If a dictor pilot is able to employ the Gate Bouncing method, Gate Bouncing is where you purposely cause lag to occur while in the process of moving between a system using a warp gate that once the lag has ended your ship is placed at around a million kilometers away from the gate that you just jumped through, then the Dictor pilot might be able deploy the bubble dock up and then Station Bounce effectively putting him off grid of where his bubbles are deployed.

Your hypocrisy knows no bounds....How is this mechanic any more or less risky than cloaky camping? Oh boo hoo, you are menaced by a single interdictor on the undock. Don't get me wrong though, I think the cloak mechanic is fine. It just irks me to see you guys continually fall back on the tired and worn idea of "RISK" as a decision point. Is there nothing new at CCP?

Just wait folks....Cloaky camping will be a thing of the past as well, slowly picking away at freedom one integration at a time...

CCP Development cycle: Players use mechanic, find something that works and use it effectively, someone cries on forums and get the ear of a dev or CSM, CCP fixes something that wasn't broken and touts it as a boon for everyone. Devs wait for next well used mechanic to come around in order to "balance" it as well.... cycle continues.

Meanwhile gameplay stagnates and nothing new happens...most veterans create new account to take advantage of the latest in "new player" experience because all else is for naught.

Things happened in EVE before you started playing. in november 2008 my corp/alliance at the time of 30 people took cloud ring.
